The second I saw the cover of the new Traditional Home I fell in love with this space design by Cynthia Hayes – a modern beach house living room with a great mix of textures and materials.
The limestone fireplace is a stunner and the simple palette lets it really shine and become the focus of the room. That and the magical light flooding the room.
Of course, it turns out this space is in a home on Nantucket, my favorite place ever. It makes me SUPER excited that I’m spending this weekend on the island for the Nantucker Wine Festival with girlfriends (mommy’s first weekend away!!!!!)
The simple dining room, again mixing modern and traditional details perfectly- also, check out the perfect floor color. Swoon.
The clean white kitchen accented by a reclaimed beam (one of my favorite looks).
The adorable and sunny breakfast nook.
This family room space is cozy while being neat and modern- and again that BEAM. GAH!
The master bathroom features a floor very much like mine!
I could spend a rainy summer afternoon reading right here.
How to get the look of this amazing home below:
Erin, that’s my house!!! I have been a longtime follower (since the South End days!) and really admire your style, honesty and HUMOR! So needless to say, it was a thrill to see our house in your blog post! Thank you! Hope you enjoyed wine week… :-) xoxoxo
It’s so cool that you read EOS! Madly in love with your home!
Do you know what kind of shake shingle siding is on this home? Is it treated?? I want it on my home!
Yes, this is certainly a beautiful house. I noticed there are no window treatments anywhere – that always confuses me. Shouldn’t windows be dressed in some way?
Lovely style! You are right, this is a dream home. The house looks amazing. Love their kitchen and bathroom.
Wow, this looks like the place I want to escape to for the weekend =o) So lovely!
