I am SO excited to share this fun, fantastic collaboration with you guys today! We collaborated with Cheree Berry Paper, the colorful and design-savvy paper goods company, to create a pair of custom stationery sets for adults AND kids. I absolutely LOVE beautiful stationery, especially today with everything being digitized and slightly impersonal. There is something so lovely about receiving a handwritten note on pretty paper goods, right? And I think it’s equally important to teach kids to write thank you notes, which is why I wanted a set for Henry, as well. And having a set designed for you specially is a real luxury – but one that is possible and fun to boot!
Here’s a bit more about the process, details and inspiration behind my designs with them!
I wanted my design to be based on beautiful wallpapers I love to use in my work- something that felt classic yet with a modern twist. I was torn between a traditional chinoiserie design with birds and branches or a more tonal grisaille scenic mural. The image that spoke to me the most was the grisaille mural with the bright yellow drapes, so I made the decision to base the set on that. The envelope liner features a stunning original mural, and the designers at Cheree Berry Paper created a custom sized card (which I adore), paired with a crisp white border and simple script font. On the envelope, they added a laurel wreath encircled monogram on the flap and the return address below in a sans-serif, crisp font. I just LOVE the end result, they really created the exact look I wanted. You can see more and order them for yourself here!
For Henry, it was a little trickier! He likes so many things- trucks & cars, construction and the zoo being the three big ones. So Cheree Berry Paper designed this adorable liner that combined them ALL (yes they designed the whole pattern just for Henry!) It’s SO him, too! And since he seems to be really into red and blue together, we used that theme for the set. I also wanted to involve him in the process of card writing and so we created a framed area on the back of the card specifically as a space for kids to draw a little picture or write a little “note” themselves. Also, note the adorable bulldozer on the envelope that “lifts” the stamp! So many fabulous details. You can see more and order this collection for yourself HERE.
This was my inspiration board for the team– as you can see I was pretty torn!
You can do something JUST as custom as this for yourself or someone you love, through their custom program (contact them here to start the process) or personalize one of the 50 gorgeous designs they have on the website- including mine!
Everything has such a personal touch- they even hand line the envelopes! (Seriously though, how to die for is my liner?)
You can order mine and Henry’s designs on their website now personalized with your names and info! Or you can shop their site for other ideas– don’t miss their BANANAS good holiday cards and gift wrap!
Thanks to Cheree Berry for asking me to do this- it was so fun and so rewarding to have a customization project come out SO well (it can be tricky, so I am doubly impressed). Hope you like the designs and introduction to this fab company!
Fabulous! Here’s to more hand-written correspondence in 2019!
I adore both of the designs they came up with! So good! I am in a Facebook group for another blog I read and there was a post recently about thank you cards. I couldn’t believe how many people commented that thank you cards are “out” and/or they’ve never written one in their lives. I have been writing thank you cards since childhood so I was really surprised. Glad you are teaching Henry their importance. I would have LOVED having my own personalized stationery as a kid!
You are right…there is nothing like a hand written note!
Perfect! Ordering some today!
