Fashion Friday: A Blue and White Wedding

I’ve mentioned before that when pondering creative careers earlier on in life I seriously considered becoming a wedding planner. I absolutely LOVE every aspect of event planning- from the fashion right down to the paper goods.  So I had some fun today styling a wedding look for a pretty spring/ summer event from the bride down to the guests! I hope you enjoy it (especially those planning their own celebrations!)

I am obsessed with Lela Rose’s bridal gowns, and this one does not disappoint.  Simple, elegant and a forever classic it provides simplicity but drama (hello- check out the back of it below!)  I;d pair it with light blue shoes (as a fun “something blue”) and statement vintage inspired chandelier earrings and a sleek updo.  A white/green/blue-grey bouquet wrapped in hand-dyed silk ribbon adds a pretty pop of color.  For the groom, an impeccably tailored navy suit and striped tie does just fine. Maybe add a pocket square for a bit more “fashion”. :)

For bridesmaids I still LOVE the look of a fun ballroom skirt paired with a cashmere tee and big statement necklace. Fun, adorable and easily wearable again.  For groomsmen I love the chambray color suits with navy ties to set them apart from the groom but still relate beautifully.
