I’m home sick today, but did not want to leave y’all hanging on a Friday! Last week I had the honor of being one of this year’s recipients of New England Home Magazine’s 5 Under 40 Awards for Interior Design. I shared some pics on Instagram, and lots of you asked about my outfit. I chose this grey dress by Badgley Mischka that felt elegant but not TOO formal. I also loved the high neckline and the fact that it had sleeves (not a big fan of my arms). It’s a great silhouette, and I got lots of compliments.
(with the winning bidder on my rug design)
(with fellow winners Nina Farmer, Maggie Mink, Ellisha Alexina and Kristina Crestin)
Here’s a roundup of what I wore (yup, including a Spanx bodysuit!)
dress // shoes // earrings (I wore some old ones, but these were another option) // Spanx
This dress comes in black, blue and white and is perfect for anything from a cocktail party to a work event to a wedding. And speaking of weddings, it also comes in a long option that I think would be an amazing casual wedding dress!
Many thanks for sharing this very diverse opinion post where each expert has no doubt shared his best knowledge on the topic. Have more success in your journey.
ZOWIE!! You rocked it!! franki
Love that rug! Unique and timeless!
I LOVED this dress on you. SOOOO CLASSY! If my bottom half were a little more svelte, I would get one.
And this is off the subject, sorta, but I wanted to let you know, that my husband gave me the MFlynn Gates compass necklace for Christmas, in remembrance of my late son. He is in Boston on business now, and picked up the Les Pointe charm with an initial to wear on the necklace, for my birthday. <3
He ALSO dropped off my engagement ring, with them to be remade for my 35th anniversary. The ladies at MFlynn have sent me GORGEOUS options, that I am considering…
I would never have found them if it weren't for you. ;)
Loved you in this dress! Elegant! But what co.or are YOU wearing…it looks like plum/ brown!
You look stunning (and probably a lot better than you’re feeling today). Sorry you’re sick. If Henry were a little older, he could bring you glasses (plastic of course) of oj to help you heal.
I wore this for my wedding! I wish I could send a photo via comment. I will try to email it to you in case you’re interested to see it IRL!!!!!
Found it!
Where were you able to find it? the link Erin provided says the dress is unavailable. I would love to purchase the long white version. Thanks.
Congratulations Erin! First think I said when you got up to accept the award was love that dress!
Congratulations to you! Onward and upward!! Sorry you’re sick today… it’s not from trying to do too much is it?!?
Congratulations Erin! Such a classic, pretty dress. You looked great!
I love the dress. Great choice. The color is perfect, too. Not black, yet not screaming color.
Stunning and elegant! Congratulations on your recognition for the 5 Under 40 award.
You looked stunning. Unique but classy as always.
Do you use Rent the Runway? I don’t know if they sponsor bloggers, but that would be a match made in heaven (for them), since your fashion eye is so spot on.
Thank you so much for sharing. You looked elegant and chic at the 5 Under 40 celebration, and many of us ladies wondered about the dress.
Best dressed-Erin. Stunning. Classy.
