The number of shopping carts I have filled with fall boots/ booties and flats right now is absurd. AB-SURD. I tend to not go crazy with shoes, price wise or style wise, but I love a good solid pair of boots, leopard heels or flats and a comfy loafer and ballet flat. Classics.
TRENDS I AM ALL IN ON:
Velvet- such a good texture to pair with denim!
Cap Toe- this Chanel-esque style is always a classic.
Leopard anything- DUH
Metallics- during the daytime in a ballet flat or evening in a strappy heel. I also think silver will be much bigger than gold this year.
Suede- I literally want everything to be suede right now.
Faux Crocodile- I bought these boots and I am OBSESSED.
TRENDS I WILL BE SITTING OUT:
Chunky penny loafers- Nope. NOPE. no. Been there, done that, it was heinous the first time around.
Anything with a gigantic sole- unless you are 13, no.
Little girl looking Mary Jane flats- seeing a lot of toddler looking shoes for women and I don’t like it.
Here are some of my favorites from this season- in tons of price points!
In the past, I was obsessed with anything adorned in leopard print. Now, when I look back, I am laughing because I HATE the leopard print! On the other hand, I agree that Faux Crocodile shoes possess timeless appeal and will never go out of fashion! I recently bought a pair of Faux Crocodile boots myself and love them! :)
Thank you for saying no to th chunky sole loafers and thereby giving me the courage to do the same, I don’t like them, but everyone says they are so fashionable I thought maybe there was something wrong with me.
I’m a big fan of ankle boots with block heels; they’re stylish and incredibly comfortable. I must admit, there are a few among your favorites that I absolutely adore at first sight! 😊
Totally agree about the chunky loafers. I can still feel the chafe of those 9 West block heels from 1997.
