You can’t print EVERY image you take in a book, so I thought today I’d quickly share some of the good ones that I still think are fabulous, but did not make the cut for the book for one reason or another! All by either Michael J. Lee or Sarah Winchester, who were just the BEST to work with.
This was a cute basement bath we did that just wasn’t reading right in print
A close up from the same house’s dining area (larger image made it but I loved this one!)
A different angle from this gorgeous kitchen– showing the computer/ work station
This is a wider angle of the family room of the kitchen above– other angles made it in the book
A cute kitchen dining nook
And a little entry moment from the same house
Another shot of a nursery that is in the book- this rug was SUCH a find!
And a close up of the bed/wallpaper situation in that same room
Another nursery in the same house that is in the book, but this angle wasn’t shown.
Another angle of this amazing kitchen renovation we worked on (another angle is in the book).
A close up of a corner of the living room- the chair and ottoman were gorgeous existing pieces we worked with. Also I am obsessed with that painting.
A wider angle of the eat in kitchen from above
A close up of this mid-century dining room that is in the book–
This whole living room is not in the book– and is so much more colorful than I typically do so it’s a fun departure for me
A wider angle of the family room in the same house
A close up of the kitchen dining table
And the kitchen that is open to the family room
Another bright, bold rom we did. A few cropped in shots of this room are in the book but this overall is really pretty.
A fireplace moment from that room- we lacquered these antique chairs the owner had in a bright blue and re-upholstered them in a tiny leopard velvet.
You can see the overall of this powder room in the book, but this cropped in image is SO great!
A little entryway moment that did not make it but we still liked!
This angle of my family room– you can sense how dramatic the ceiling is!
My stairs :)
And a wide angle of my bedroom
Ok, I’m off to Atlanta tonight for my events tomorrow! Hope to see you guys there! Check the book website for more info!
You are getting masterful! The word that kept popping up as I scrolled. Thank you for sharing!
I love, love your family room and gallery wall going up the stairs!! Congrats on your beautiful book!
Just saw your new book in “Country Living!” franki
I would love to know the manufacturer of the zebra wallpaper in the bathroom please.
Thanks
I have the book and I am really enjoying it. I love how personal you have made it. It makes relating to you and the decor so much easier and fun. Congrats on a job well done!
Love everything you do. Could you please let me know where I could find the lovely green floral fabric you have on your cushions on your personal sofa. My sofa is cream & I’m having a hard time finding just the right colour green to bring it to life. thank you.
Love getting even more of the book! Thanks.
Your artwork selections are just “spot on!!” Really well done!! franki
I have to share that I am enjoying the book so much (and the extra images here). I did not pre-order the book this time mostly because having kids did not work out for us. I was not sure if it would be relevant or if it might add salt to wounds I’ve been working to hard to heal. As I saw some of the instagram shots, I decided I really wanted to check the book out and if it was not for me, that I would pass it along to a friend with kids. I am so glad that I ordered it. Many of the tips are relevantt to “fur” kids too and the images are all wonderful and full of inspiration for my own home. I hope that you are enjoying the tour and that the book is very successful. I also have to say kudos to you for including the work of other designers, espeically one that worked for you in the book. The world needs more of folks cheering one another on and celebrating the success of others.
Thanks so much for your very meaningful comment, and I’m so glad to hear the book resonated with you!
Beautiful work! Question – how do you keep toddler hands off of the gallery wall on your staircase? I’d love to do something similar but I have two toddlers and worry that they’d either be chronically crooked or wind up crashing to the ground. Would command strips work? Thanks!
I hang the pictures with nails and then use a little of that Velcro like adhesive strips on the bottom of each from to keep it from going crooked.
Hi Erin,
where is the ocean pic from in the hallway?
thanks Susan
