A Thanksgiving Tablescape with Juliska

If you have been reading this blog for any extended period of time I’m sure you recall my obsession with Juliska’s Country Estate pattern.  So when they asked me to collaborate with them for a Thanksgiving tablescape post I literally leaped at the chance (no literally, I am pretty sure there was upward movement, perhaps with a clicked heel?)

Choosing between the delft and the flint colorway was TORTURE. In the end, my sensible, neutral-forward brain chose flint– a warm grey, it really could go with anything- bold colored napkins, chargers, tablecloths…. it seemed to be the most practical.  And perfect for Thanksgiving with it’s earthy tones.

We set up a “friendsgiving” table in our studio, imagining that we’d entertain ourselves and vendors with a feast at my amazing Huston & Company Newton table (side chairs are Target, host chairs are Resto). We used a natural linen runner to keep things simple and paired the Country Estate with the Classic Bamboo pattern chargers and serving pieces. I used the dinner plates and side plates in Country Estate.

I also used some linen napkins I had picked up at C&B and had Cece duPraz monogram them for me. I ADORE them.  I used my gold bamboo flatware that is no longer made (SOB) but found some similar here and here.

For the centerpiece I used the Juliska cork urn because I loved the natural texture it brought to the table in combination with the linen.  I filled it with lots of cabbage, white roses, Viburnum some natural seeded branches and leaves. It looked great with the chartreuse tapers (similar here).

The rose gold taper holders are PB as are the votives. They cast warm light and add a cozy ambiance.

I DIED when I saw the new Stonewood Stripe collection online- amazing. The serving bowl and salad serving set are such a perfect gift for someone who likes to entertain.

Everything paired so beautifully and it was really EASY and quick to do!

For example, the  placecards I went beyond simple– as in I picked up leaves from the street outside. No joke. I then wrote everyone’s name on them in gold Sharpie and tucked them into the tortoise napkin rings.

The beautiful glassware is the Graham collection- the DOF glass (which Andrew is loving for his scotch- great size) and the large wine glass(perfect for momma’s red wine). I now have my eye on the stemless version too.

All in all, the perfect, simple fall ambiance just right for hosting family or friends or both!
