Write A Letter!
In this age of social distancing it’s actually really nice to get REAL mail again (also the postal service is under attack so letter writing is something actionable you can do to support letter carriers). Henry has been drawing pictures for his friends lately and I mail them. When he gets something back he is SO excited! It reminded me that last year I designed some stationery with Cheree Berry not only for myself (which I loooooove) but a REALLY cute set for Henry that has a space on the back for drawing a special picture, adding stickers or what have you.

I did not know the Post Office was under attack, any more than usual, but our local one has been a mess for decades. I love my sweet carrier, but the office itself is a complete cluster…

Such a cute photo of Henry’s stationery, and I look forward to seeing Emma’s first set! And great suggestions for us adults. Personally, I enjoy Erin’s blog for the beauty and humanity she shares with us. But if politics is interjected, it seems reasonable for others to respond, especially if they can shed additional light on a situation. All of us probably would do well to gather political news from a variety of sources; one rarely tells the entire story. And we all can enjoy and appreciate beautiful stationery as a way to connect with others.

I love the idea of writing notes and keeping in touch on fun stationery! What a great teaching tool for children!
do you really want your address to be “out there”? The return address on Henry’s stationary is pretty easy to read.
How did such a cute post get so crazy? I’m pretty sure (after a quick google search) that the address on the adorable stationary is her business address, but anyone really curious about the residential address can easily find that online as well.
Erin, that is a wonderful idea and makes two people happy during these crazy times. I go through lots of note cards so I will definitely be checking these out. At a very early age my Mom instilled the nicety of Thank You notes and brief notes to friends and family along with the usual birthday, get well and holiday cards.
Enjoyed your choices for Stationary for the whole family!! Thank you notes and beautiful stationary are always on hand for Me to hand written notes. Now that 2 of my Grandsons are 4-7, I give them Personalized stationary for their Thank You notes! They love it ! As to the Post Office, the issues stem from changes made by the Post Master General after taking office in June 2020. The previous administration removed 14,000 mailboxes from 2011 to 2016. Also, previous administration in 2016, asked that 12,000 jobs be slashed. The Post Office was having trouble long before this current administration!!!

Mary Anne I so agree with your comment. I also keep an assortment of cards and stationary. I raised all four of my children to write and send thank you cards as well sympathy and birthday cards, as well as others. I love reading posts with links to items that are of interest to me. Not a fan of in your face or subtle politics. The USPS has been a very poorly run department for over 40 years. A dear friend of mine worked and retired from the post office and often shared with me the many issues he felt would ultimately bring the post office to its knees. One comment in particular that has always remained with me was the comment, “the post office has many more chiefs than Indians, and those chiefs are at the top of the pay scale”. In our rural area our postal carriers are contractors that throw packages at the end of driveways and on a daily basis neighbors post on our neighborhood Facebook page others mail they have received. It is musical mail delivery in our neighborhood. When video, from ring cameras, was presented to the local post office we were told there is nothing they can do. When evidence was provided to the main post office in Washington DC again we were told there was nothing they could do since they are not postal employees but contractors, WHAT! I am not interested in supporting any agency, department or company who does not feel they have a responsibility to their customers. Nothing would please me more than for the post office to close and then we would have to vote in person. Nothing like a fraud free election.

I love this so much! We have personalized stationery for our 2-year old… we write Thank You notes for Christmas, birthdays, etc. and he colors the card for a personal touch. He has so much fun doing it!
