Many of you have recently asked me to do a post about what to wear to spring and summer weddings and formal events now that we are back to having parties in person (yay!) This month Saks agreed that it was a great topic, and their selection of dresses is so great, so I selected a look that I personally will be wearing to an event this summer (my attempt at embracing the cut out trend in a tasteful, age-appropriate way) as well as a round up of dresses from formal to floral/daytime. Of note- that white jumpsuit is SO gorgeous, but you can’t wear that to a wedding!)

And to pair with any and all dresses I always make sure I have the following in my arsenal:
A basic denim jacket (always cute added on top of a fancier dress for an edge).
Simple but statement drop earrings:
Would very much appreciate a blogpost on teen formal dresses for prom & homecoming – thanks!
I agree. My daughter is entering high school in the fall and I am very much wanting to avoid typical tacky prom dresses.
Do you wear/use any type of bra( or those tape things) with that navy cutout dress?
No this one is very thick and supportive. When a lighter fabric YES
A post on favorite undergarments & possibly tape for the dresses shown above would be great!
Fabulous post Erin! I loved it. And I couldn’t help but remember your quote, even though you look amazeballs in that navy dress, about the trend – “playdough factory”….hahaha! Happy Sunday.
Not every trend should be embraced.
Thanks Jenn for the uplifting comment.
I admit that I have not been excited about this trend, but Erin looks great.
You look absolutely fabulous!
