I was so excited to get your suggestions last night on Instagram for Fashion Friday posts. I’m going to keep revisiting the list this year and try to hit on everything you guys requested. I’m always looking for ideas for posts- so DM me or comment any suggestions for any kinds of posts you want to see this year!
Today I’m sharing the items that I reach for on a daily basis and buy again and again or in multiples because they are such staples in my closet. Some items are investment pieces, some aren’t expensive at all. What matters is that they work for me and I find them to be of great quality no matter the price point.
My daily tote. Fits absolutely everything I need in it. I had mine monogrammed.
I love this eyeshadow palette. Perfect neutrals to create a simple or smokey eye all in one spot.
Leopard heels– these have a comfy block heel too which makes them more comfy.. Leopard flats too. Basically a leopard shoe makes me feel better about my whole life.
I have a version of these boots that I adore. Tall enough so your jeans tuck in (the jeans above are the best for booties) and a small heel for height but comfy all day.
My Moncler Khloe coat in dark green is a new purchase and I don’t regret it one bit, despite the astronomical price tag. The belt makes me feel less like a sumo wrestler and it’s so freaking warm and light. It’s now sold out everywhere it seems, but I’ve seen some listed on eBay.
I freak out when I’m out of this brow pencil. All those years I tried to make my brows skinnier (WHHHHYYYYYYY) has left them a little patchy and this makes them look pretty perfect.
Yes to Kara’s comment! I bought this pullover from Gap Factory for under $40!
This is probably my favorite post, Erin. Love your curated, tried and true selections and the convenient links. I’m sure it takes you awhile to put it all together but I’m loving it and it keeps me coming back! Cheers!
Thank you Erin – any tips on a good hair dryer? Having a run of bad luck with lately… High and low price points.
Hi Erin,
The link for the clipless curling iron says it’s no longer available. I want a 1” just like that that! Can you tell me what brand it is? Thanks!!
Thank you!
Love these choices!
Such a great post–thank you!
Great post!! I love all these things
Great post- I’m always searching for good white shirts so will try the ones above. The J Crew sweater blazer is my work go to- I have in 3 colors. Might have to get the leopard block heels too…..
I look forward Friday fashion posts. I would love to see one related to wedding fashion especially mother of the bride. It is so hard to find something stylish not frumpy.
Ok, I pinned over half of your items. Nailed it.
Hi – a request for a future posting. My house is pretty much identical to yours (1940s center hall colonial) with two big picture windows on the front. I have sheers over the windows now to let light in but still give us some privacy….but I really don’t like the plain sheer look. It comes off cheap looking. Do you have any suggestions for large picture windows and window coverings? I don’t want full heavy drapes since it’ll block out all of the light.
I just ordered Two Penny Blue marigold jacket for spring events. Love the color, cut, buttons and the company’s philanthropy. Would love fashion Friday topics on accessory pieces – belts, scarves, watches (does anyone wear one any more?), etc, that help finish an outfit. Thank you! Love your blog and I have recommended it – and your book – to several friends.
I LOVED this post! These are geared toward my personal taste so I am a little biased. What is the difference between texturing spray and dry shampoo?
This is a great list! On the topic of retinol, can anyone recommend one from Sephora? I have a Christmas gift card that I am looking to use up. I am 35 and have never used retinol before but do use chemical exfoliants a few times per week. Thanks!
Sunday Riley’s Luna is fantastic!
this is SO helpful erin. bless you. i think i will get everything here.
and..of course this is waaaay more on brand for you to do loves..vs. hates..but i think some of your readers would adore hearing the negs..just cuz you are HILARIOUS when you are saying no!
I do like when you offer alternatives for the dresses you don’t love on your red carpet roundups. Perhaps a “Do This, Not That” for everyday clothes would be helpful!
omg yes to the “hate” list!! SO true about hearing you say no- love the end of your best dressed lists when you do the “worsts”!
Love fashion Friday! We are renovating 1800 sq foot condo in eastern NC. My dream would be grasscloth wallpaper for living/dining area. Can not afford and risky for humid summers. I am thinking of faux linen pain tecnique or updated stencil bamboo?!) if there is such a thing. I would like to know your thoughts on current faux painting techniques or affordable wallpaper alternatives.
The EOS Fashion Friday is the first blog I open on Friday mornings. I love these. I would love a post on what you should invest in and what you can save your money on (i.e. Gap might have a perfectly serviceable white button down, but you should really invest in a good pair of loafers).
What a lovely list and thanks for including the links too! I hope this is going too be a regular Friday post. Enjoyed all your selections and tips.
Thank you
great post, love it! SO many good ideas, thank you!
Love everything you listed and will be buying a few of these cute pieces but you are going to put me in the poor house! Lol!
Yes!!! I’m reinventing my wardrobe after 2 babies and I totally love your classic, pulled together, yet comfortable style. Please keep these posts coming!
A great basic wardrobe. No wonder you grab for these all the time. Timeless and well chosen.
Can you post some good basics? like go to tshirts to layer under blazers, body suits, tanks?
LOVE the gap pullovers. Bought in several colors. My mom was admiring it at Christmas and I found they have more size selection at Gap Factory online.
