We are so excited to announce the launch of our summer collection! With all that’s going on, we want to spend this summer with family and friends as much as we can, so we shifted our focus to entertaining when putting this collection together. We hustled to find new-to-us vendors and artists to bring you some new items, as well as favorites from the past (hurry – we have a few of the Shagreen Cabbage Plates back in stock!).
Let’s get to it!
In addition to new original pieces of art, we’re also offering a limited edition print from Tessa Brown and a few framed pieces…
We found Alice on Instagram and just love her cheerful abstracts. We have 10 of her 11×14 pieces available, as well as two larger (24″ x 36″) pieces that are framed, if you’ve been on the hunt for something big and modern.
VERY excited about this one – another Instagram discovery, I believe! Kate made these watercolors especially for us. We love them paired up or on their own, and the colors are so fun and vibrant – great for any room.
Our favorite teeny tiny landscapes are back! It’s hard not to look at these and squeal because they’re so tiny and cute. For this collection, in addition to 13 unframed originals, we also framed two of Anna’s paintings in vintage frames that we found at Brimfield a few weeks ago (Field Dreams Vol. 1 and Field Dreams Vol. 7)! Side note – would love to get your feedback on if you prefer your art framed or unframed – do you like picking the frame, or do you prefer to have someone else figure that out for you?
Instagram is seriously such a treasure trove of talented artists. Absolutely in love with these pretty landscapes, and we’re offering one of our favorites, “Windswept“, as a limited edition print.
We wanted to take the guesswork out of setting your summer tables, so we created two tablescapes for you to mix and match:
The Victoria
Featuring a hand-blocked cotton tablecloth and matching scallop-edged napkins (sold in sets of 4) – the colors and details are SO crisp and classic. To keep the tablecloth safe from spills, we have adorable acrylic placemats and coasters from Proper Table.
The incredibly talented Elena Boiardi of E Boiardi Studio hand-painted matching Scalloped Shagreen Plates in “Hydrangea”, and they came out stunningly!
**One note on our shagreen pieces for this collection – the “Slate Blue” Cabbage Plates do match the Victoria tablecloth and napkins, but the “Hydrangea” Scalloped Plates definitely work better with the Proper Table chambray placemats and coasters.**
The Anne
How CUTE is this color combination? A little fun and unexpected, but it just works! We have tablecloths and matching napkins (again, sold in sets of 4), as well as matching red chambray coasters and placemats from Proper Table.
ALSO! We are offering 10% off when you buy four or more of the Scalloped Plates and all of the Proper Table items. Just a heads up – the Scalloped Plates are on preorder – they’ll be shipping in 3-4 weeks.
Meg White Pottery
This wide, short vase from Meg White Pottery is perfect for any table setting – it’s low profile so you can fill with flowers but still be able to see over it to chat with guests across the table.
Dipping our toes into more table top decor and accessories! We still have a few of our White Tea & Lavender candles and marbled match boxes left, and we’re adding to the collection with trays and stationery from Studio Formata – a mother/daughter team in Sweden.
We have two notepad options – a lined rectangular pad, and a square unlined pad. These are a no brainer.
We also have 25 new Museum Bees available! They’re made of hand-picked vintage & antique pieces, and each one is so special and unique. Group them together on a gallery wall or display on a shelf.
Finally, we have a very limited number of pieces left from previous collections – Jane Win Jewelry small coin pendants, Matt Fishman bud vases, colorful Kirsten Williams collages, Hand of Clay Raku vases, and a few of the Fraser Fir candles (on sale!).
We hope this new collection brings a bit of joy to your home! Happy shopping :)
Love these collections…and now where to begin? My favorite has always been featuring artists as some just speak to you! I love the option to frame, it takes another complex decision away and allows the art to speak in the hands of experts where the frame can be the ! …I do not have the eye and appreciate the help. I would love to see various places to see them throughout the house.
To answer your question about framing…. I like to buy art already framed. I’m not great at picking out frames. So, I prefer having it already done by someone who has an eye for it. Also, I think the framing is part of the art.
I love seeing new found artists! I think you’ll also love Jeanne Smith. You can find her on Instagram @jeannerosiersmith. Her pastels are amazing and would complement many of your projects. It’s great that you support local, talented women. Keep up the good work at Gates & Co. !
Is the pink art piece by Alice Caudill available? I don’t see it on the site. 😢
