I saw this room on Instagram last night (designed by Allison Elebash) and found the palette of medium/ light blue and blush to be really unexpected in a family space. I would typically think of these tones as too sweet and baby-ish to pair together in an adult space, but it TOTALLY works and looks fresh and interesting! The painting by Sally King Benedict certainly adds some grown up funkiness, and the woven textures of the sofa ground everything.
So I started thinking how great this mix would be in a guest room or beach house bedroom. I saw this great rug from West Elm and started with that as the base and then built from there with layers of blush and blue. This look could also work great for a tween/teen room or a nursery– but totally stands on its own for a grown up too! By using softer colors like this in combination with texture and clean, modern lines you help soften the overall feel of the space.
This room – and your selections – are lovely! The colour palette totally reminds me of the living room I grew up with (I’m 29) – although this is much cooler haha.
I think this is so pretty, but I can’t see this in an area of the country where it gets cold and snowy in the winter. Seems to be more of a California or Florida vibe. I know some people might like this during the cold months. I prefer warm and cozy, but also easy to make small changes to lighten it up in the summer. Would love your take on that Erin!
YES to all of this! I spy our Costa Bed too! I work for S&L & I’m currently planning the floor sets for Fall – this color combo is inspiring me. xx!
The combination of these colors together makes the room look very fresh and beautiful. I like it!
Really not a fan…this reminds me of the 80’s when the wood was pickled and pastels were all the rage. Also the design has a “soulless” look about it. Just my opinion…
I found this chair by googling “white Chinese Chippendale dining chairs” . Looks like a match to me.

Hi Erin, any idea of the source of the table and chairs in the room by Allison Elebash? It really caught my attention. I like the blush and blue combo too.
