Hi all – Molly here! While Erin is sharing her favorites from the red carpet last night (Hi, Brad!) on Instagram, I’m sharing what the team has come up with for Eliza’s niece’s big girl room. Lily is turning 3 in a few months and has a little brother on the way, so she’s getting an upgrade, and you know how much Erin loves designing nurseries and big kid rooms.
Make sure you vote for your favorite in the comments! Without further ado…
The room as it currently stands:
Right now this room is kind of a catch-all for furniture from Eliza’s mom and past homes. When the movers brought these twin beds in, they set them up incorrectly, and Eliza’s sister was never able to get them apart, so they’re being kicked to the curb when Lily moves in here :)
Lily is the sweetest little girl, and hasn’t reached the full on glitter-bomb girly girl stage in her toddler life yet, so Erin, Allison and Eliza wanted to create a cute room that she can grow into without being too precious.
wallpaper / bed / nightstands / rug / chest / mirror / sconces / roman shade trim / duvet / bolster fabric / lamp / hooks / house wall shelf/ throw pillow / art
**Now before you say anything, please note that Allison freely admits that this room is absurdly expensive… a girl can dream, right? Never settle, Lily!**
bed / bookshelf / storage bins / dresser / table lamp / mirror – vintage (try googling “French Faux Bamboo Mirror”) / sconces / sconce shades / side table / area rug / art / doll carriage / bedding / fabric for panels / fabric for lumbars / fabric for lumbar trim
sconces over bed / bed / sheet set / art over bed / existing art from nursery 1, 2, 3, 4 / rug / roman shades / side table / dresser lamp / bed pillows 1, 2, 3 / dresser painted in this color / mirror over dresser / chair / laundry basket / storage bins / throw blanket
We’ve all agreed that we would gladly move in to any of these rooms. Hope you all enjoyed… Erin will be back to blogging on Wednesday!
Eliza!
Love Eliza’s as well. I don’t see a link for the bookshelves though – could you please share?
Eliza’s Board!
Love all the designs. Either one will make a lovely room for a little girl. If I can only choose one, it is Eliza’s room design. Love the fresh colors and the whimsy of the design. I think it is appropriate for both a little girl and a young teen.
All gorgeous, but Erin’s is my favorite. So many timeless pieces in there!

Erin’s board
Eliza’s is my favorite!
I vote for Erin’s board.
Allison!
Erin’s. I think it will last longer
Eliza’s!!
All are great, but Erin’s is my fave!
Eliza’s board is my favorite
Erin’s 😊
Adore them all but I vote for Allison’s!!
Erin’s idea board is my favorite.
Eliza’s!
Allison’s! Really like how the drapes, accent table, and art would make the room interesting & I see how a girl could grow up in that room–it’s already way cooler than my teenage bedroom was.
I love Erin’s scheme–teal and yellow is such a fresh, young combo.
Agree with comments about daybeds – such a pain to make!!
I vote Allison – investment, yes, but pieces that can be used around the house forever.
Love all three though! So talented!
As an aside – when I think about the money spent over the years for three kids rooms (boy & girl) designed around “age appropriate” or “theme of the moment” — and I mean THEIR theme! —much of it ended up at the curb. Too small, fad color (think Shrek or Barbie), sport theme or team, car bed, rainbow blinds…just UGH.
NOT that any of these designs come close!!!
Love, love this feature of the blog, Erin!
I think Allison’s board will have the most longevity and will stand the test of moving thru preschool to elementary school to middle school to high school. Might be worth the investment to not have to keep redoing for all ages and phases. This one is timeless.
They are all lovely but Erin’s is my favourite!
First, thrilled that we’re hearing from the rest of the very talented team. Second, I vote for #3. Looks most durable. Unless Lily is unlike any other three year old I’ve met. #verydestructive
They are all very pretty boards but seem grown up for a three year old. That said, I prefer Alison’s, but I would not do a plaid daybed- I’d choose one from the other boards so it’s more neutral and can be used later. I would then swap out the rug for the one from Eliza’s which would bring in the blue plaid.
Eliza’s design!
Eliza!
Love them all – but I feel like Eliza’s design gets my vote as it’s a touch younger than the others. However, I think it would be awesome if you took the bed and rug from Allison’s and put it in Eliza’s…
Eliza’s is my favorite!
I vote for Eliza’s it’s serene and classic. Will grow with the lucky little one. Love the architecture print and the travel posters! A slice of heaven in gray and blue.
Love them all, but would choose Eliza’s!
Eliza! It’s fun, imaginative, and the most gender-neutral — and that’s where it’s at in 2020!
They are all lovely but I think I would choose Eliza’s board for my child. I like that the prices are right for a child’s room and I like that she is re-using some items that the client already owns. I would happily move in to Erin’s design myself!!!
Eliza’s room with the rug from Erin’s is my vote.
Erin for the win!
I think that those beds can easily be taken apart, painted a white or blue etc, and would look delightful for any of the rooms suggested above. To the curb? Donate them. I like all the above, but Lily’s I think fits a 3 y.o best.
Eliza is my fav!!
Team Allison!
They’re all so pretty, and pretty timeless. I do love Erin’s and Eliza’s so much though!
Erin’s is definitely my favorite!
Eliza’s board – it’s sophisticated enough to grow into but the decor pieces keep it playful.
Erin’s. 100%
Love Allison’s board!
How about that Blue graffito pillow in Erin’s board? 😊
All three are lovely, but Eliza’s is the only affordable one unless her sister has a rather generous budget. I think I prefer Erin’s over Allison’s (whose art, rug, & drapery fabric seem a bit formal & sophisticated for a young girl). Eliza’s is pretty and fun, though, at a price most of us could manage.
Erin or Eliza
Allison’s board is my favorite! But, I have to again register my dismay over the daybeds. They look cute but are a pain in the neck to make!
What a lucky little girl!
Voting for Eliza!
I’m torn between Erin and Eliza’s room boards!!! Can I have both?!?!?
Definitely Eliza’s
Allison’s board 😍
Eliza’s!
Allison’s!!
Eliza’s is my vote with Erin a close second
I love all three! I didn’t see the link for the ribbon art in Erin’s design – can you please share?
Added to the post, also here: https://www.chairish.com/product/id/1041657
Eliza’s plan!!
100% Team Eliza! She really does have the ability to mix whimsy with sophistication. Any little girl would be lucky to have this room!
Eliza’s plan overall, but I would choose another rug. I do love the accessories from Erin’s plan though, especially the lamp!
Eliza’s😍
Eliza’s!
I love them all but Erin’s board is my favorite! I tend to gravitate towards anything with green in it!
Eliza for the win!
ELIZA’s!!! Love it so much!!!
Allison wins big time! That room is fabulous! I like them all but I think Eliza’s is too mature for a 3 year old and could be a boys room easily as well.
Allison’s is my fave!!
Love them all! But if I’m forced to vote I’d chose Eliza’s room as it is the most light hearted and fun and I think it would transition to older girl room the easiest.
Eliza. But really, give me a real bed any day. Day beds are a pain.
Erin, but Eliza’s is a very close second.
Is there a link to the throw pillow in Erin’s board?
I love Eliza’s design.
I vote for Allison!
Love the cozy upholstered daybed, floral curtains, color scheme, bamboo mirror and scalloped wall sconces. Love, love, love!
I love Allison’s board!!!!! Sooooo beautiful!
I hate one wall that is wallpapered. Do the whole room. Love the wallpaper Erin picked out. DO THE WHOLE ROOM in this…so cute.
Erin’s is my favorite.
Love them all but my favorite is Erin’s. I love the color palette and I think it will all transition as she gets older.
Allison’s board … those floral drapes are everything!
I like Allison’s the best! All very cute though.
Eliza! Blue forever
Eliza!
DEFINITELY Erin’s. No question. Such a happy, joyful, cozy bedroom for a little girl.
Eliza!
I would like Erin’s for myself, but for the young lady I choose Eliza’s!
I love everything in Erin’s room but with a three year old, I would use the bed in Allison’s board for the softness and durability.
I vote for Eliza’s room!
I would choose Eliza’s room, I adore the blue xxx
I love the colors of Erin’s board, so she gets my vote!
Eliza’s 100%
Erin’s all the way!
Eliza’s design!
My vote is for Erin
Allison’s!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I vote #1 , Erin’s board but for me!!!
Could you please correct the link for the floral fabric in Lily’s bedroom. Thank you.
Corrected- here it is as well: https://www.michaelsmithinc.com/furniture-and-fabrics/fabrics/jp-6435-grace-original
Hi there, what color paint did you pick for the board for Etin’s Board? Love the whole board!
Elizas board. Fab
Eliza’s board!
Allison!!!
Ooo, (they’re all great!) but I do really like Eliza’s room! My room as a kid was always a soft blue and I found it so calming (though I don’t think I realized that at the time 😆). I feel like those blues are very grounding.🙂 👍
I’m team Eliza on this one :)
They are all lovely but I like Eliza’s room. She knows her daughter! It seems younger with the existing artwork and a bit of whimsy.
Definitely Erin’s!
Eliza’s room is lovely and I think it would look great with the pink paint from Allison’s board. But then I think little girls still like pink.
We recently upgraded my ten year old to a full bed. Looking back, we probably should have done it when she was three. I thought a trundle bed made sense (you know sleepovers and all) but the thing is pre-schoolers and early elementary aged children really don’t have sleepovers. Now that she’s a 5th grader sleepovers happen. Two girls easily fit in a full bed…plus we get to snuggle at night time! I say consider a full bed now.
I agree – love the space a trundle creates but they are such a pain to make – love elements if each design
#3 Eliza’s room is the only one that looks like a child’s room. The other two, however well designed, look like beautiful guest rooms. They’re only little once so I say don’t be afraid to celebrate that. When she’s 9 or so she’s going to want a pre-teen room so she has 6 years to be a little girl. Celebrate her sweetness.
I agree 100%
Erin’s
All are amazing but I have to say Erin’s!
Allison’s room is just my cup of tea. The buffalo check blue daybed is gorgeous. And I much prefer those sconces vs the wicker looking ones on the other two. It’s not trying too hard to not look girlie… there is nothing wrong with a bit more femininity in a little girls room.
I keep looking back at them because they’re all so lovely! What about the lumbar fabric and shelves from Allisons and the house shelf from Erins into Eliza‘s room? I actually love the bolster fabric from Eliza‘s room as well. And maybe the wall color from Allisons. Not that little girls need a totally pink room, but I think the touches of pink bring out the colors in the artwork.
Erin’s!
Team Eliza!
When I first read this, the picture from Eliza’s room wasn’t loading So it was between Erin and Allison. I liked elements of both of their rooms, but overall seemed too grown-up for a little girl. Eliza, I am so glad the picture ended up loading because I think you hit the nail on the head! Just the right amount of sophistication and whimsy. I would totally pick this if I had a little girl!
That’s exactly what happened to me, and I had the same thoughts! Erin’s and Allison’s rooms are lovely, and I love elements of both of them, but overall they don’t feel “right” for a little girl. Eliza’s design incorporates those beautiful elements, but adds a fun, casual twist that makes for the perfect design.
Allison’s! Feels like a little girls room straight out of the English countryside.
Erin’s…live the soft colors and little and big girl vibe I get from this room!!
I love them all, but #3 is my favorite!
They’re all great! Erin’s is my favorite but I love the sconces/shades from design 2
I love all the vintage touches in Allison’s room!
All of the concepts are lovely, but Eliza’s is my favorite (I would be happy to have that as my room as a grown up girl, now).
Loved Eliza’s design board. I get weak in the knees for checks – be it buffalo check or gingham. Very soothing room and loved the artwork.
I love the paint color on Erin’s board! Can you please share the name?
I’d love to know the paint color from Erin’s board too!
Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue!
I like Erin’s design and then Eliza’s.
Eliza’s room is my favorite! Such a lovely mix of kid friendly but sophisticated. Erin’s is beautiful, though.
Definitely Erin’s!
I love Erin’s board!
I love Eliza’s. They are all lovely though ❤️
Gotta go with Erin’s this time.Been loving yellow lately.
Eliza’s 100%
Eliza’s Plan!!!
Eliza’s but that might be because that is the room I would like for myself!
