I’m so sorry guys but I’m gonna have to tap out for a few days- I’m still sick and Henry isn’t sleeping and it’s created a shitstorm, for lack of a better word, in my world right now. I have to focus for a couple days on getting myself better and getting him to sleep in order to even begin to think creatively. Lindsey will be posting her kitchen renovation soon, maybe even in the next couple days, so at least we all have that to look forward to (it’s really good…)
Bear with me as I find my footing this week and I promise to be back as soon as I can, guns a-blazin’.
Love,
Erin
Erin,
Alli is right. We hired a sleep trainer that lived with us for several weeks to get my baby on a schedule. BEST MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT! She’ll be two in June and she still sleeps 12 hours a night and takes a three hour nap. No rocking her to sleep. When it’s time to sleep, I put her in bed and walk out. There’s nothing wrong with getting help when you need it.
Hang in there! It’ll get better. And be nice to yourself in the meantime!
Hey girl! Has anyone send you The Contented Little Baby book yet?? It worked for both my girls and many of my good friends. If and when that little nugget sleeps at night all will be possible! XO
My son didn’t sleep through the night till he was 4 ?… Brutal. My kids at 11 and 3 still are horrible sleepers. Take care of you! Feel better!!
Take your time, do what you need to do for you and that sweet boy! We’ll all be here when you’re ready and feeling up to it!
Erin, I hope you start to feel better soon and that Henry goes back to sleeping. Sending you positive thoughts and hugs!
Stop apologizing. When the oxygen masks drop down on the plane, you put yours on first, then you can take care of others. Be healthy :).
Cheers!
Hi Erin,
I hope you feel better soon! I’m sure you don’t need any more advice, but just in case…I had a baby a week before Henry was born and we hired Tiffany from Eat Play Sleep and it was a MIRACLE! Everything is a million times better with some sleep. Good luck, you’re doing an amazing job! https://www.eatplaysleep.net/
Feel better soon! The first year is so hard with lack of sleep. It gets easier (I promise). I am the mom to an 18 month old and a 31 month old and I am just starting to sleep again! xxooo
I totally understand the —-storm! Feel better soon!
xo

Take your time – You’re true fans won’t go anywhere. I actually don’t know how you do it – I remember those early days with my babies – I didn’t have a job OR a blog and was lucky to get a shower in by the time my husband came home from work…kudos to you – hang in there – I wanna say it took each of my 3 babies a good 6 months to find their rhythm (then I could find mine).
Take care, beautiful! xox
Don’t apologize. It’s prioritizing and well, as a mom of three, the busy/crazy only gets worse…and awesome at the same time. Other parents get it. The first year with a first babe is always the biggest year of adjustment, don’t feel sad/guilty/disappointed, it is what it is!
We will all be here when you have time!
And once a week post is the new black don’t ha know?! ;)
Rest up and feel better soon!! Hugs!
Glad you are taking the time. Rest up! Feel better! We will be here when you are ready. Xo
Rest up girl…we will still be here when you return!
feel better and take care of yourself. My son was the same way – loved being awake and NEVER napped!! someday you will look back and say “how the hell did I get though that”?
we will be here waiting and looking forward to the kitchen reveal in the mean time!
wishing you and that cute boy the best!
Hang in there, Erin. Hope you are feeling well and that Henry is sleeping better soon. We’ll be here when you are ready.
Takce care, Steph
No need to apologize for doing what’s necessary! Your brain and your body (and your boy) need to be well-rested to be at peak performance. Take care.
Hope you feel better soon.
Take all the time you need Erin. Keep your chin up, Henry will become a better sleeper before you know it. We’ve all been there, awake and alone with a little one in the middle of the night. So easy to get frustrated but they grow up so quickly, you’ll look back and miss those sweet night time feedings rocking in the glider….
I love reading your blog and will always be here waiting. You have a fabulous team that supports you, let them blog for a while so you can get some rest and enjoy little Henry. xo
Hope you feel better soon! I know something is going around ugh. Rest up and can’t wait for your posts =o)

We will miss your fabulous posts but get yourself better Erin! ❤️
Don’t apologize for taking care of yourself and your family. We understand. Be well! We’ll see you when you return :)
Take your time. With my first I tried going full blast. Cue strep throat-for ME- when he was 10 days old and then again at 6 weeks. Your body knows what it needs to do, our brains on the other hand think we are invincible.
Take care of yourself, Erin, no matter how long you are away. We will all still be here!
Remember that most of us who work were on maternity leave at your stage. Rest up, take it easy on yourself, and do what you can to just get through the really awful parts (yes, there are truly awful parts!).
xoxo
Feel better soon! I’m excited to see Lindsey’s kitchen!
Hope you feel better soon, Erin. Sending positive vibes your way!
We will wait as long as it takes! Take good care of yourself and feel better.
Take all the time you need. You might find out you actually like dialing it back a little.
You do what you need to do sister. Get better.
It’s so, so hard to take care of a baby while sick. A night nurse can help take of the baby while you are on the mend! They are amazing human beings!!
I hope things get lighter for you soon. You are a star and we’ll be here whenever you are ready. Hope you feel better!
No worries. Take care of yourself and the little one.
No worries, Erin. Hope you’re on the mend, and fingers crossed that Henry will soon settle into a regular sleep schedule. Don’t ever feel guilty about taking a break when you need to! We aren’t going anywhere. XOXO.
Do not fret for a single moment about posting (or not) on your blog. This is entertainment for us. Your health and your son’s well being are FAR more important that our entertainment!!!
Take all the break you need. And take care of yourself too! I know it doesn’t help in the short term, but it will get better :-)
Feel better and good luck with sleep training! Take your time – you and your family come first.
Sleep deprivation is no joke. Take care of yourself.
Hope you feel better soon, Erin! We’ll be here when you get back :)
Take care, dear girl. We’ll be here when you’re ready.
You got it! Hope you feel better soon.
GOOD.FOR.YOU.
Give yourself permission to take as long as you need. We will be here when you get back.
Hope you feel better soon. Sending good sleeping vibes to your handsome little man.
Good for you. Take care of yourself. Xo
I still remember the morning that my husband was so tired after staying up all night with our first-born that he poured baby formula into his coffee by mistake. #cantmakethissh*tup
Feel better mama! As a fellow new mommy that is lacking major sleep I totally feel your pain! Here’s to hoping sleep comes and comes soon! Take all the time you need.
Your blog is worth waiting for. Hang in there and feel better soon.
Totally understand. You have to do what’s best for you. Family is always first. Feel better soon!
Hope you feel better SOON!! Meanwhile rest up, and I’ll pray that Baby Henry does the same!!
Feel better soon Erin and don’t worry, your readers are a loyal bunch! You are worth waiting for. And thanks for the beautiful Henry pictures and videos this weekend on Instagram; absolutely precious and had me giggling right along with that little cutie. :)
Don’t worry, we love your blog and will wait until both you and the adorable Henry are in the pink again.
Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well – hopefully a few days of rest and relaxation will be what you need!
It does get better, I promise! Hang in there. Hope you feel better soon.
I have two friends with boys your son’s age (theirs are born in October) and neither of their boys are sleeping right now. Both were great sleepers and now . . . nada. Apparently, you are not alone. The good news: it is a phase (with growth spurts and hitting milstones) and it WILL get better! Hang in there!
We love you! I know how hard it is when our sweet babies don’t sleep. Take care of yourself and we will be eagerly awaiting your return. :)
Good luck. It’ll all get better, promise.
Feel better.
It gets easier! Take good care of yourself and feel better soon, mama.
Seriously take all the time you need even if it’s a month or two your readers will be here when you are ready to come back. So often when we have a new baby we are so focused on taking care of them we forget to take care of ourselves and honestly we are no good to our babies if we don’t make the time for self care. It’s so important! Feel better soon!!
PS
My son is 3 months and has yet to sleep more than 4 hours at a time so I know how you feel with the lack of sleep it’s painful!!
Hang in there! Your readers are rooting for you and will be here when you get back! : )
Rest up, Erin! Hope you feel better soon.
