Inspired By: Turning A Fall Bouquet Into A Room
I saw this bouquet on Boston Pollen’s instagram and am SO in love with the totally unexpected color combination for fall. With its moody deep plum, pops of bright peony and golden amber tones (and even some cream mixed in to break up the darkness), I was inspired to turn this palette (a very different one for me, as the colors are way more saturated than I normally do) into a room.
I decided this would make a great cozy, rich, den-type space. So here’s what I came up with! It was challenging, but I like to think outside the box and keep my creative juices flowing every now and again. Rarely do I get to do a room with NO blue in it and all warm colors!

Some years ago, you asked us how we’d feel about you sharing the writing of your blog. Since then, the blogging world has shifted a lot into insta-stories and videos and away from classic blogging … which I love. And I notice Emily Henderson, for one, has shared writing duties with much of her staff and maintained high quality. You wear so many hats; designer of interiors, jewelry, furniture, pillows, rugs, candles, author of two books, business owner,wife, and mom to Henry and the fur babies. Maybe it’s time to revisit the shared writing duties issue. I don’t want you to burn out because I very much enjoy spending some time every week in your virtual company.

I have been all about warm colors, brass and no blue for twenty years and love that warm tones and brown are back in style! I love the translation of flower color palette to room design especially the sofa!
