I may have a child and a good job, but I’m still not a real grown-up who hosts Thanksgiving dinner at my own house yet.  My mom still rocks that for us, and until we have a place big enough to hold lots of family it will probably stay that way.  But that doesn’t mean I don’t dream about having the time and ability to pull together a gorgeous Thanksgiving tablescape!  For now it will need to remain virtual on the pages of this blog- so I had some fun doing a few for you. Starting with one inspired by the gorgeous, fun picture above!

This is a fun, casual meets formal mix with bold color and hints of gold (and even some leopard!)

This one is a modern take on a country theme- and even a turkey-feather charger somehow looks gorgeous and cool as opposed to kitschy!

table2

Blue and white can work for even the fall and winter holidays- this is a casual grouping complete with raw pottery, wood and pewter tones. You can adds hints of red or orange through flowers for a bolder look.

table4

1. // 2. // 3. // 4. // 5. (use a fouta towel as a tablecloth!)// 6. // 7. // 8. // 9.

This is a formal setting, based on the china pattern I wish I had registered for (Bernadaud’s Constance).  The chartreuse and gold scheme with a couple modern touches makes it less stuffy.
