As I was sitting inside all day yesterday stuck in the snowstorm I started dreaming of spring and the beautiful clothes it will bring. :) I’ve been on a skirt kick lately when it comes to prepping for spring, and for that reason I am JAZZED that bodysuits are back. Nothing works better with a skirt that needs a tucked in top than a good ol’ Flashdance-era bodysuit! No extra fabric, lumps or bumps or coming untucked! Even if you are scared of them, you NEED to give one a try this spring to see what I mean.
So here are four looks utilizing the bodysuit paired with a skirt– all of which need to be in my closet, like, YESTERDAY.

I LOVE all of them, especially the last one!
Have a great day!
Ok well, I think that leaves me out – don’t they say if you “wore it the first time around, don’t wear it the second time around….”
Having said that, I LOVE the first look!!!
Erin
I bought my first bodysuit last summer and LOVED IT, but I wore it with a skirt and the outline of the bodysuit was dangerously similar to the outline of granny panties (sorry I know you hate that word!). Any tips to hide the outline?? They should make thong bodysuits. Will you do a collab with JCrew or someone to make that happen for us?
THANKS!!
They DO make thong bodysuits!!! https://rstyle.me/n/ce2knrnxe6
Love!!!
You can get a tweed blazer almost identical to the one you showcased from Ann Taylor or Loft in the $100 range, just sayin.
I’m still holding out on buying my first bodysuit. I keep looking for one but, haven’t found any that I really like yet. This roundup reminds me to keep looking.
unfortunately a bodysuit is an instant camel toe wedgie for us tall girls LOL!
I’m curious how tall you are Erin and if the body suits are long enough? I’m 5’10 and have a hard time finding a one piece that is long enough, so have never tried a body suit.
This Cashmere bodysuit from J.Crew kills me!
I had a body suit … made the mistake of wearing it with this skirt that folded thru your legs and looked like palazzo pants. Looked great, but wore it to a huge party with one tiny bathroom for ladies and I had to strip to my knees. Panic was setting in at this point. Not to mention the 34 women in line behind me.
So if you go for the body suit, think through the rest of your outfit very carefully.
First: Patricia – LOL! Too funny!
Second: I happen to be wearing a skirt today, with a cami under a thin sweater, and now I TOTALLY see the appeal of a bodysuit after spending a few minutes rearranging things in the ladies room. I can see wearing one under a sweater or blazer for sure. But for dressy outfits, are there any that are like made of Spanx or something? I worry that a “mom pooch” + bodysuit = not so flattering.
I LOVE the first one! If only it would work with a baby bump… haha!
I feel like a bodysuit would fit my lazy-girl tendencies perfectly!
Hi Erin,
The link to the button down bodysuit isn’t working and I NEED that one in my life! These bodysuits totally remind me of my mom, she rocked these in the late 80s and 90s…I totally get it now. Have a great weekend!

Brittany routinely imposes on other bloggers websites to flog her own blog. Usually puts in a meaningless comment first to try and make herself look like an authentic follower. Really sick of her useless comments popping up on every blog that I follow.
So sick of your random and meaningless comments
Isn’t it pretty standard stuff to leave a blog link in a comment? I don’t do it (I don’t blog or even tweet), but it’s not uncommon. I’ve actually seen the practice recommended in “how to start a blog” articles. I don’t understand why someone feels the need to complain every time, which I frankly find more annoying than the original comment.
Totally agree! The only reason for commenting everyday is so you can plug your own blog – ugh!
Why so mean, ladies??
Yep. Every time.
agreed, seriously.
They have snaps just for that reason :)
In my mind you are my make-believe best friend, but now you are also my personal stylist.
