I posted a shot from my office on my IG Stories yesterday and got about a million people asking me where my desk chair was from– and it made me think, so many of you are probably taking the “work from home” thing seriously now since it looks like many of us will be doing just that until 2021. Using an odd dining chair as a desk chair may not be cutting it anymore, right? So I thought I’d do a round up of some great-looking and functional desk chairs to incorporate into your “work from home” area– be it an office, guest room or smack dab in the middle of the kitchen…
I have to say that I love my new desk chair, that I ordered from Poly and Bark – it looks like a love child between your first option and the third from last – and it was only $145! I got the Tremaine Office Chair in Terracotta. I don’t work for them, just an avid fan of my new chair, lol. :)

Great post! Alternate look-alike for the Nash chair (top left) is the Soho Soft Pad chair from Laura Davidson Direct for only $295. (I am in no way affiliated!)
I have them at each desk in my design studio and they’re wonderful!
Been totally pondering this. Is it better to have a chair on wheels? Better for a child? Ergonomic vs functional and pretty? Thank you for this round up.
Beautiful options! I have learned the hard way that I really need to sit in a truly ergonomic chair with adjustable arms. I splurged on a human scale freedom chair a few years ago when things got really bad, but I’m so envious of people who can work with a more “occasional” looking chair in a flexible home office setting.
Full time WFH has killed my shoulder and back so I bought a fully adjustable ergonomic Aeron chair. It’s a design icon but not very residential looking. I had no choice.
What about kids desks and chairs?! Would love to see options for them too!! Thanks
Erin – I agree! With virtual school we are trying to set our girls up with a defined school space – would love your thoughts!
