I’m excited to share that in the next month or two we are going to reveal a revamped EOS site. It’s overdue and much needed and I’m excited to be working with Hanna Seabrook of Gadabout (who did our new company website) on this makeover. Along with it, I’m hoping to launch a few new features and series on the blog, one of which I hope you will be excited about.
We’re calling it “Style Solutions”, and once a month I will pick a reader design dilemma to solve. Maybe you have no idea how to lay out furniture in an oddly spaced room, or perhaps you got a new sofa and don’t know what rug and pillows to pair with it, or maybe you need help picking complimentary paint colors for a few spaces. Basically, any conundrum you face about your own space is game, minus designing a whole room for you. If we get a few questions in the same vein, we may do a themed post. Or maybe one month we do fashion dilemmas! Basically, it’s up to you guys– but I want to offer some real designer advice that I think may help everyone!
So send your questions and frustrating dilemmas to [email protected] and we’ll be doing our first installment in August! If your question is about space planning, please include sketches or drawings and with any of the questions please include pictures or links to specific products.
If there are any other features for the new site you’d like (from a search function to a way to shop, to a type of column), leave a comment here!
I am an avid follower from way back.
I need help with my sunroo…. maybe accessories, furniture placement, cohesion.
Check out my movie on Zillow
19 Kings Lane, st. Simons Island, Georgia 31522
I live in a 1983 non-arctiturally specific Home. In coastal Georgia. . I’ve lived in 10 houses over the last 25 years, most older historical places. I’ve always attempted to use furniture from previous places, and always buy quality. I’m having a hard time making my sunroom perfect. My place is currently on the market for sale
19 Kings lane, st. Simons Island, Georgia 31522 , we have a terrific “movie” online Zillow
I would love some input specifically on cohesion., accessories, etc
So excited for this new series! Thank you!!
Yay!!! So psyched for Style Solutions blog series!
Love the Style Solutions idea! I’ll be sending one in for sure!!! :-)
These seem like minor details for the new blog site, but they are components of your blog that I really like, so hope they remain:
1. The pull-down menu of categories, as opposed to only being able to look back by month archive. This feature makes categories that might not apply to me now, but could in the future so much easier to find.
2. When you click on a product link, it opens up a new browser window. Some blogs have it open in the same window and then I lose my spot on their blog. (I’m clearly not very tech savvy though…)
Excited to see it and the new blog series!
This is a wonderful opportunity for those of us on a very tight budget to get some design help. Your book is a constant go-to for me and any help solving specific problems would be so helpful and generous you . I’m looking forward to it.
I wish all the best and looking for a great website. Good luck in your endeavors.
Thank you! This is a great idea.
One design dilemma I face, which maybe other readers also have–how to deal with a small master bedroom, including what type of bed looks best in front of a window, clever bedroom storage solutions, etc.
How exciting for you and especially your readers. Great idea!
So excited for this new series!
Best of luck with all the changes. I’m excited, and selfishly excited for me too!
I love this! Looking forward to reading this series.
Love it! I’ll think it over and see if I have any constructive ideas for the new site.
