Affordable, Customized Art with Artfully Walls
I’m delighted to share one of my favorite vendors for affordable art with you today, Artfully Walls. While we love using original art in our projects, not every room calls for it and not every budget allows for it. What’s so great about Artfully Walls is that there is not only a wide variety of artists, but you can often pick the size you want and from a beautifully curated selection of framing options. It’s frustrating to find a print you like, but perhaps you hate the frame it’s in or it’s too large or small. This way, you can customize each piece to your exact specifications.
I have SO much art in my own home, a few Artfully Walls pieces, that i thought I’d share. One little spot I’m trying out a small piece is above my stove, and this illustration of Lily of the Valley is such a crisp, happy piece. It’s on a little sticky hook on the tile so it’s able to be removed anytime, but also you can take it down when you are doing more than boiling water for mac-n-cheese (which is rare for me) :) I also like leaning small works in a kitchen on the counters too, it breaks up all the hard surfaces found in kitchens and warms it up.

You can buy unframed prints too. I LOVED this whale one for Henry’s bathroom, and decided it was time to replace the one I had in this frame of a nude woman. The whimsical print looks so fantastic in this old, ornate frame. I’m so happy with it in here.
I find a lot of my old frames at flea markets and antique shops- and I don’t mind a few chips, it adds to the character.
I was looking for a cheery piece to go on a small wall at the top of my stairs, so I selected this print by Harry Stooshinoff that adds a soothing element to this wall.
I love the movement of the abstracted landscape in juxtaposition to the business of the gallery wall going up the stairs.
We used Artfully Walls for our first showroom installation for my rug collection, and now I have many of their pieces decorating our office- like these two prints here (left, right). The mix of frame styles is great too, to keep things from looking too perfectly matched.
This piece I have leaning in the guest room. I love layering art in this way- either over a mirror on a mantel or on a bookshelf or like this, on a dresser or chest. Mixing mediums and styles helps add interest to a space.

Unrelated to the art, in a previous post you sourced that great white credenza and round hardware from your office. I can’t find the post. Would you mind telling me where you purchased the brass, round pulls and white bookcase/credenza? Thank you in advance.
Rub ‘n Buff is a wax based product with metallic pigments that you can rub on with a cloth, not your finger, since it stains, which works beautifully to touch up areas missing paint on pieces such as your frame. A little goes a long way. I have used it on picture frames to create an antiqued look on some of my frames with great success. They have some wonderful shades of color in their line, and it is inexpensive to boot.

Great post. In regard to your gallery wall. I am toying with doing one along our stairwell too- however, with small kids I’m worried they will get knocked around a bit. Has that been a problem at your house? Love your blog! Thanks!
