Oh boy- we did it! We are moved in! Holy smokes. Moving during a pandemic with two little kids is not for the faint of heart. We’re slowly getting settled, and I have to fight the urge to organize every second of every day. And I’m now trying to catch up on work too so bear with me while I get back in line!
Other than the kitchen, the only room that is 90% done is the powder room- and it came out SO cute. I reused the toilet and sink, and put art from our old guest room on the wall, but otherwise everything is new. And what a difference it made. Just need to source a mirror for the wall– I may have one that works but if not I am thinking perhaps this one or this one.
Memoirs sink and toilet (reused the existing items) // Bardiglio & Dolomite marble flooring via Discover Tile // faucet // paint: color match of Farrow & Ball Green Smoke // wallpaper // Kayce Hughes art (super similar piece) // sconce
BEFORE:
Getting lots of DM’s about the color of my cabinets- which is Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Grey, but all my kitchen details are on this post. A lot of people have commented on the art above the range- this was a not expensive piece I found on Etsy from this vendor, and it is already pretty dirty so I’m not worried about it getting any dirtier :)
Lots of DM’s about this color- it’s Wales Gray from Benjamin Moore. It’s a bit bluer in person than shown here, and is so pretty. The marble surround is a variety called Breccia Capraia.
The embarrassment that is my mismatched “use what I have while I wait for what I ordered” family room- but the room itself is just SO pretty. The wall color in here is Benjamin Moore Winds Breath. Same as my last house. It’s such a go to color for me.
I’ll be sharing the plans for the formal dining room on Wednesday as the show-stopping wallpaper arrived and is soon to be installed!
So very, deeply grateful to Brookes & Hill for being absolutely incredible in getting this done on time, and to Adelfia Painting for being able to scale from “just paint a few walls” to “never mind paint every single inch” :)
Yay, Puracy soaps!! Love green vibe in here too. I love Puracy soaps & use their countertop cleaner in lemongrass scent which is divine and their laundry detergent is AMAZING. I promise I don’t work for them, but I am glad you found them too & hope they thrive! You can buy large refill packs too!
The light and bright family room! What a happy space this is. And your wall was such a genius move. Can’t wait to see more.
The family room looks fun and inviting, inspiring even. Love the little painting over the stove – and your insta stories about it not mattering about the dirt, I agree, live with what you love!
And the powder room is Next Level divine! I’m team ‘work 24 hrs’ so that there is such inspiring content everyday!! Sorry !! Not sorry!!
Congratulations! Everything looks beautiful so far! I love the Wales Gray! Is this the family room with that little half wall situation? What a transformation! Love it!
Gorgeous! Do you feel like winds breath lends itself to gray or beige?
At one point in our move (we were drastically downsizing), I crawled out from my closet and swore “If it weren’t winter, I’d seriously consider becoming a nudist”.
Only cold weather and pity for other people’s eyeballs forced me back into that closet to finish unpacking.
Love Adelfia! Peter and his team are the best!
All beautiful. I particularly love the Wales Gray. I was wondering what the ‘designer’ reason is to paint the walls, trim, and mantle, etc, all the same color. I love the look – just wondering if there is a reason. Would white trim have chopped up the room too much?
Beautiful Home. You have done a wonderful job. I love your family room ( you give all of us inspiration on re-doing a room). Can’t wait to see more. Enjoy your new home
Can you share where the brown basket- jars are from and where to purchase them?
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!! Your kitchen looks so beautiful. I can’t stand it. Congratulations 🍾 can’t wait to see all the rooms styled. Enjoy ☺️
I noticed you don’t use shoe molding on your baseboards. Could you share some info on that?
Looks amazing! How is everyone liking the new digs?
Looks wonderful, can’t wait to see the rest. I for one am a huge fan of the art over the cooktop.
can you tell me where the fixture in your den is from?
You inspired me to pick up a gallon of BM wales gray (to test in my living room) along with narragansett green for a desk I will be painting. Thank you so much for graciously sharing your colors and materials with us!! I cannot wait to get some paint on the walls tomorrow. I currently have SW french gray and feel the walls need a little more life in them.
Beautiful! Quick question and I’m sorry I missed it before. For the formal living room, did you do the same paint finish on the walls and trim? Flat or eggshell? Or flat and semi-gloss on the trim? Thank you!
Just finishing up exterior with Trim Chantilly Lace, Body Wind’s Breath, Doors Wrought Iron. Knock out.
It’s looking wonderful already! Excited to see more!
That powder room is so pretty! Also, you did a great job with the fireplace wall in the family room. That is such a big transformation. I can’t wait to see it all come together!
