I’m looking for new counter stools for our newly installed island at our offices and so I thought, hey- two birds one stone- I’ll blog my findings! Now, I’m not promising you can actually GET any of these anytime soon (damn supply chain is REALLY bad right now) but at least we can order and dream of the day they arrive, right?

After looking at your lovely choices-I would select the Serena and Lily ones-in you first choice row-either the Portside or the Riviera ones in White. Both would be easy to move, but sturdy -S&Lgets great reviews for their well built designed products. The white stool brings in the white to match sink cabinets, and walls and bring life to the dark island. The Portside is modern but has a touch of antique New England look and also gives contrast to dark island with lighter wood and woven seat. Looking forward to your selection as I do all your posts.
Ballard Design’s Evelina Windsor Counter chair is amazing. The seat is a smidge deeper than any counter chair I’ve ever sat in, making them SO comfortable. Style and comfort. Discovered them last year when Pottery Barn’s shipping was six months delayed and I’m so glad I did. Highly recommend! https://www.ballarddesigns.com/bd/503971?listIndex=0&offers_sku=ST423%20COU%20WHT&intlShippingCtx=US%7CUSD&utm_id=go_cmp-12514576497_adg-124338474612_ad-504985062374_pla-303079976341_dev-c_ext-_prd-ST423%20COU%20WHT_sig-Cj0KCQiA8vSOBhCkARIsAGdp6RTJz1JOEuCSH59jXd8TqLmNNQM-jnBoe4TOvS3W0THKDXCz2kCk5KIaAgXpEALw_wcB&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=BD%20-%20Smart%20Shopping%20-%20Dining%20%26%20Kitchen&SourceCode=BDSHOPSMT&kclid=_k_Cj0KCQiA8vSOBhCkARIsAGdp6RTJz1JOEuCSH59jXd8TqLmNNQM-jnBoe4TOvS3W0THKDXCz2kCk5KIaAgXpEALw_wcB_k_&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8vSOBhCkARIsAGdp6RTJz1JOEuCSH59jXd8TqLmNNQM-jnBoe4TOvS3W0THKDXCz2kCk5KIaAgXpEALw_wcB
I think Restoration Hardware has a store in Wrentham Outlet-might be worth checking?
The other two cents I would add is to make sure they aren’t too heavy. Yes, you want them to be sturdy, but they need to be able to slide in and out with ease – especially if your feet aren’t touching the floor when sliding them in. A swivel option, as mentioned below, might make them easier to get on and off, reducing the need to slide them in and out at all. Beautiful choices!
Best stools and most comfortable for a clean look are from Grandin Road. The Saddle style They tuck under the counter and I have an extra one off near a short wall. Reason I say this , they are easy to pull out and push back without scratching floors. Also , seats are wiped easily. Grubby little handprints are no problem!!
That RH, 1st Option looks terrific, but will probably not slide well and end up marking the floor in no time flat. And I agree that a full back is optimal if one will be sitting for any length of time.
Option2: a full back is much more comfortable
While I like many of these I’m curious why none have a swivel option?
