Day Off
Life has been a little crazy as of late, and its left me with zero time this morning to blog (also I’m on a train right now and feeling a little woozy from looking at the screen). I’m sorry guys, I’ve gotta use a “get out of jail free” card today for a big post. I’ll be back Wednesday, promise. :)

Erin – Enjoy your day off! I have a question that I’ve been struggling with as I plan to redo my master bedroom. My husband and I have a collection of furniture hand-me-downs that are all dated and don’t match. While we were grateful for the pieces, it is time for them to go. I’m starting with the bed – our 1990s sleigh bed literally burns my eyes every time I look at it. Its one redeeming quality is that it has a foot board. I CANNOT sleep with messy sheets or an off-kilter duvet and could not imagine life without a foot board to keep our duvet from sliding around in the middle of the night. I’m leaning towards an upholstered beds but most only have a headboard. Sometimes you do furniture roundups, so if there is a bed round up in your future I would be so grateful for any ideas for upholstered beds with foot boards. Alternatively, do benches at the end of a bed do anything to keep that duvet on lock-down?

Also, you have such interesting followers – I think any time you need a blog-free day, you could just pose a question to your readers and have them take over for the day! (Worst decorating mistake, most intimidating decorating issue, best money ever spent on the house, etc.).
