I started a board with a bunch of little girl things I’ve been ordering and loving for Emma and then realized I had the start to some great family photos outfits- so I managed to gather two color palettes I think always work well for family photos (allowing you more flexibility with your card color and style if you have yet to choose one which- hello- it’s October 2nd most of you have not picked yet!) Navy and neutral are my go to’s when picking outfits for my own family photos- colors that looks good on everyone and give me flexibility to choose from a variety of card designs without feeling like our outfits may clash, even if I choose to go hot pink or chartreuse or something out of the typical color wheel.
My keys for picking outfits- color coordinated but NEVER matching identically. If that’s your jam- you do you. But I prefer everyone to have a single color that goes through every outfit with lots of variation to pattern and tones.

First, neutral. I love an argyle sweater with this amazing faux suede skirt (I bought last year and still super on trend)- paired with croc pattern high boots and tortoise tone earrings, it’s a great look (feel free to layer a scarf or even the denim bow shirt from the navy grouping underneath for a more layered look if shooting outside). For the men- this Taylor Stitch cotton cardigan sweater I bought not only Andrew but also myself last weekend! It’s so good, and the shawl collar is small so less push back from the fellas. Also, Levi’s are the only jeans Andrew wears now- classic for a reason. For Emma- OMG this faux leather dress is SO cool, I ordered it for her along with these velvet mary janes (great price). And that leopard faux fur jacket is an extra that may not make the photos, but worth adding :). For Henry, these Quince stretch jeans he actually doesn’t mind wearing- and this cream polo sweater? SWOON! I doubt I could get him in the quilted coat for long, but he’s gonna be bringing one to Ireland and London for sure.

For the navy grouping I did add in a hint of burnt red- but you could easily swap the red sweater for a navy cardigan like this if you wanted to stay ALL navy. I immediately ordered these pants yesterday when they came out- I love a great drapey pant for a comfy dress up option and this pattern is so good. For him, Criquet cords (Andrew’s favorite brand) and a Quince sweater (I really am all in on their cashmere). Speaking of, Henry LOVES this Quince cashmere hoodie (washable, although I have yet to attempt this)- he doesn’t complain about wearing it when I force him to “be handsome”. The shirt is from Vineyard Vines outlet which is having an insane sale FYI. For Emma- I am obsessed with this J. Crew houndstooth number! So darling!
Here’s the girls round up I had started with, for some other fun finds. Boden is completely SLAYING it for girls and women right now. I ordered a bunch of things for Emma and myself.

Have a great weekend everyone!
