I haven’t done one of these posts in a while, but when Nordstrom reached out about partnering on a spring trends post, I thought it would be the perfect time to finally bring this kind of post back! I went through some interiors trends and coordinated them with great items from Nordstrom that echo the sentiment- proof positive that fashion and interiors are linked arm in arm!
You’ll notice SO many floral and chinoiserie patterns in both homes and clothing and accessories. It’s THE pattern to use right now!
This modern, edgy shade of yellow is going to big big this spring. Certainly not for all complexions or rooms, but it adds such a happy punch of color to your home or outfit. (Side note- this sofa is still for sale! Email us if interested [email protected])
The simple patterns and textures of classic “country style” are being used again in so many spaces. Also a great look for easy, breezy summer dresses.
I have always adored this bee patterned wallpaper and now see that Gucci is using bees everywhere this spring!
Dusty blush is the new beige. From walls (try Benjamin Moore Melted Ice Cream) to sofas, leather jackets to trench coats, it’s the go-with-everything color that is anything but bland.
Black and white stripes will never, ever go out of style. EVER. In both decorating and fashion. A worth investment in either department.
Another “new neutral”– this slightly green grey tone is an unexpected pick instead of the basic grey or beige tone for basics like cabinetry, walls or an everyday leather bag.
Tassels are the best. I love wearing my zillion pairs of earrings and using them on everything from pillows to pulls! Put a tassel on it and I’ll buy it!
Jute rugs are the blue jeans of a room– and in springtime I like to use them everywhere as they have such a summery, light feel. I also always have a woven natural clutch on hand for spring and summer dressing– goes with everything and doesn’t break the bank!
Yup, more florals! Bring ’em on! You need some for your closet and your home. Get on it. :)
We’ve seen a lot of neutral rugs in this style as of late, and I think the more saturated, red versions will become more popular again. The organic patterns translate really well into swimwear!
Braided rugs are synonymous with country decor, but they are making a comeback in more modern homes. The braided detail is subtle and comfortable underfoot– just like these adorable espadrilles are! (Side note: LOVE this grey-blue suede!)
This shade of green is BIG right now (I also love it paired with the dusty blue from above). It looks amazing against white marble in a bath or kitchen or with white jeans in an outfit (and a faux tan and gold accessories look great with it too!)
Both of these items would dress up whatever you pair them with– a vanity or basic tee and jeans.
