Since we’re all going to be spending more time at home this summer, it’s time to spruce up those patios- big, small, urban or suburban- doesn’t matter- take what you’ve got and make the MOST of it!. I showed you my own patio updates on Monday, so today I’m sharing four schemes using reasonably priced furniture and accessories (there are SO many good sales this Memorial Day Weekend) to show you some ideas for different styles of patios inspired by different locations in the country. I hope this helps you kick start a little patio makeover!

This look is good for just about anywhere- a mix of traditional and modern with the classic black and white with pops of green in it. This dining chairs are Target and SO cute!
This look screams casual, laid back cool with lots of natural texture and a just a little pop of color.
New England summers are all about navy and white with teak and wicker, stripes and touches of brass.
Down South things get a little bolder- with this AMAZING vintage inspired dining set from Target (!!!) and lots of bold coral accents.
I love these suggestions and wish we still had Target here in Canada! But Wayfair and pottery barn are good options. I assume you bring in your cushions and rug when it rains? Thanks
I’d love any of these looks … as long as you threw in the patio too! I’ve got a small east facing balcony overlooking a noisy street (lots of bus traffic and fire engines). I only use it to grow plants and give me a glimpse of nature.
For many years, we had a patio nearly the size of our back yard and loved the heck out of it. I only miss a few things about our home of 32 years (the full basement with craft room and work room and storage room) but I miss our back garden (hydrangeas and roses and calla lilies), the hot tub and that monster patio.
Thank you so much for doing this post! Absolutely going to go the New England Preppy.
I just spent the weekend designing (Pinterest-pinning) my patio, so great timing. And I bought the Birch Lane loveseat (New England Preppy), so thank you for validating my choice. :) I’ll use this as inspiration to pull it all together…
I must say I’ve been mystified re: outdoor rugs. Can these rugs really be left on an uncovered porch? Won’t they get soaked with rain? I have been using a patio mat/thin plastic rug because I’m scared of having a sopping wet rug…
On yesterday’s post I spotted a ceramic (?) rectangular tray on your table. It is blue and white and sort of tie-dye… but in a striped way. You didn’t link it…so maybe it is something that is older. Would you share the source? Thank you for responding.
Spot on as always! Thank you so much. I just ordered the top white with black trim set from Target you suggested. Best wishes on the arrival of your baby girl
