Great Green Paint Colors

At our office it often feels like the only color we work in is blue. Sometimes mixed with other tones, but just SO. MUCH. BLUE. Not that I don’t love blue, I do, but right now I am all about GREEN. We’re seeing more and more of it come into play, and most rooms in my house are being done in this tone. I love painting rooms and millwork moody deeper greens to give them lots of drama. And since paint colors are what we get asked about the most on social media, I thought I;d gather up some of my current favorite greens to use- from pale to super saturated! I recently purchased BM Narragansett Green to paint a vintage desk. Per BM website “BM Narragansett Green is a gorgeous green with blue undertones, and is a favorite, go-to paint color for designers”.
It is a very deep hue, a dark green gray. It would look amazing in a small space but a bit too cavernous otherwise.
We just painted our exterior Essex Green!
We just painted our kitchen cabinets F&B Teresa’s Green – so in love and it totally brightens up the space without just being another white kitchen.
I just used SW Thunderous on my kitchen island; it’s a green gray. I debated going more olive green, but Thunderous looks gorgeous as light hits during different times of the day!
I love these greens and used to have an apple green living room with a sage green couch that looked lovely together. The difficulty with green in such settings though is that every picture of the kids taken on that couch or in that room throws a terrible light/reflection/cast onto the skin. I have a decade’s worth of slightly sickly photos of everyone, sadly.
I’m prepping to paint the brick on my 1949 model Ranch style home. I think I want BM Ballet White with pure white trim and a green/blue front door. I’m still debating on whether to just go all bright white or contrast between the trim and brick color. These green colors are perfect timing!
I have a 1955 brick ranch home that I purchased in April, one of the first things I did was have the brick painted white with black shutters. I wanted a deep blue/peacock blue door and I love it so much! I found an antique brass lion head door knocker and it goes so well with the door. You will love your choice!
What was the green you used for the front door in your old (previous) house?
Heidi, Erin’s old door was Benjamin Moore Wasabi – I had recently looked it up for a friend looking for bright greens. Funny how so many of them are named Margarita, Tequila, Lime. lol
My kitchen is green with. Lue and grey tones and gold fixtures. I find white kitchens static and cold, and the blue kitchen island overdone
Benjamin Moore Senora Gray is a beautiful gray with green undertones. It reads green in my low light library and looks great the library cabinets. Love your list too!
Interesting you included Cromarty and Pigeon. They do look green here, but in most contexts I think of them as complex greys.
Two favs are Great Barrington Green, used in hubby’s den, with Tudor Brown trim, and Georgian Green which is the upper wall color in my dining room, with White Dove wainscot and trim. All Benjamin Moore colors.
