Now that Henry is a “big boy” he wanted a cozy chair to read in (i.e. play Nintendo Switch in, let’s be honest) in his room. And there are a couple cozy spots for that kind of chair in his top floor room. We decided on this amazingly comfortable navy velvet English roll arm from OKA was the winner, paired with the cutest stripe side table/stool and ikat pillow. OKA has been a source we tap often for pieces that are great quality, interesting in detail and yet not a trade only source.
Such lovely details to this piece- the pleated roll arm, the down fill seat you sink into….
They are having a summer sale right now, so there are a lot of pieces you can snag for a great price, but also some perennial favorites- here is a mix of my favorite items below (click image for links):
I particularly loved the use of the OKA armchair, which not only adds a touch of elegance but also offers a perfect spot to curl up with a good book. The attention to detail in selecting the accessories such as the side table and lamp completes the overall aesthetic. This article has definitely sparked my creativity and given me ideas for my own reading corner makeover. Well done, Henry!
Is that a child sized chair? Or is it for full-size people? 😀
What a welcoming little corner! I’ll be anxious to see what pole lamp you use for reading!
I love Henry’s new chair. I’d happily read in it for hours.
