Busy mom shopping West Elm’s new collection— until Henry hijacked my laptop!
The day after Mother’s Day seems like an appropriate time to share the news that West Elm has introduced a baby and kids line in collaboration with Pottery Barn Kids! I love the modern take they have on kids decor, which includes cribs, changers, art, wallpaper (removable!) and bedding– among other things. And the prices are great (a gorgeous crib for $399 can’t be beat!). I’m finishing up my second book which focuses on designing a home for the whole family that everyone can enjoy, be proud of and live in comfortably. Kids furniture with great style is a huge part of creating a home that looks gorgeous but also functions well for a busy family. These pieces are a great example of how to accomplish both of those goals!
I pulled some items for a darling girls nursery– blush and grey but with fun modern touches. The removable wallpaper would go on the crib wall and acts as art without nervously hanging a framed piece above the crib.
This is a big kids rooms with a lot of funky details like constellation paper on the ceiling, modern lighting and a gorgeous rug!
Some other faves too:
This ottoman with a table top and hidden storage inside! GENIUS!
These quilt-like pillows and baby blankets:
This brass bed– so chic!
This mini version of one of my fave West Elm desks:

Great new options! Thanks for sharing.
Rather than take the advice of people who may have prejudices for or against the company just go to Google and search for “West Elm reviews and complaints” then make up your own mind.
Totally agree! The store personnel and managers are always rude and unhelpful. I won’t be shopping there! Cute stuff though.
My son will be moving into a big bed this summer. I needed some inspiration for his room. Thank you!
