FINALLY I am able to show you the final shots of my master suite and addition!!! We finished construction in early October and since then I’ve been prepping, styling and trying to finish all the spaces off. You can read about the whole construction process in this post thread. But here we go- I tried to link as many sources as I could below the picture (shot by Sarah Winchester) with a couple of my own iPhone shots throw in too where marked with ** (but I am sure you can tell by the mediocre quality!)
Bed- Gates Bed for Kristin Drohan Collection // Nightstands- Wisteria // Lamps- Arteriors // Stool- Diseno Bos // Bedding- Pottery Barn // Faux Fur Throw- Pottery Barn // Rug- Pottery Barn // Urchins- Target // Drapes, Shades & Pillow- Makkas Drapery Workroom // Drape Fabric- Lacefield Designs // Pillow Fabric- Peter Dunham
Starting down in the kitchen, when we tore down the garage and unheated “mud room” area we replaced it with a pantry area, mudroom and laundry room (and and a nice big new garage we can actually fit a car in now!) We worked with my Dad’s firm to design this tricky addition- with our sloping raised lot and hip roof it really made Dad and his team flex their creative muscles!
Looking from the kitchen into the pantry area- our kitchen is small so this allows for a HUGE new storage space for food, plus we added a glass door out to the patio and grill to the right. We had hoped to make it one continuous floor, but due to the roof lines and lot we had to keep two small steps down….
Kitchen Cabinets- Vermont Custom Cabinetry // Lower Cabinet Color- Benjamin Moore Cape May Cobblestone // Cabinet Hardware- Colonial Bronze // Trim & Door Paint- Sherwin William Extra White
I had the doors made to mimic the Shaker style of our kitchen cabinets so that it would feel like an extension of the kitchen- and used some really gorgeous crystal knobs for interest.
Door handles- Emtek // Door Color- Sherwin Williams Extra White
A little area to keep dog stuff and notes.
Floor Tile- Tile Showcase // Rug- Homegoods // Wall Color- Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist
I added a few wall hooks for leashes and coats and bags.
Hooks- Anthropologie
But what’s REALLY exciting is the giant coat closet on the right- we had NO coat closet until now since we took out the tiny one that was originally in the house to make a door to our back yard and open up the flow of the house. Oh and hello laundry room.
MY LAUNDRY ROOM!!!! Bringing the laundry out the basement was HUUUUUUUGGE for us. And I decided to really do it up with an amazing toile paper and colored ceiling. It’s so happy in here I don’t mind doing laundry. It’s super tiny, but totally functional.
Wallpaper- Cole & Sons // Roman Shade- Makkas Drapery Workroom // Trim & Shelf Color- Sherwin Williams Extra White
Ceiling Light- Jonathan Adler // Ceiling Paint Color- Sherwin Williams Breaktime
Why not put some nice art in a laundry room too??

Okay, moving upstairs, this is where the real magic happened. The entrance to our master suite! This room used to be Andrew’s office and the scary little “bedroom” with a half door. We used it to just store our junk. Now it has gorgeous mirror built ins that serve as Andrew’s closet/ dressing area and book storage. I wallpapered the right hand wall for some added interest.
Custom Closet/ Shelf Built Ins- TaylorMade Cabinets // Rug- E Carpet Gallery // Wallpaper- Cole & Sons // Hardware- Rejuvenation
When we bought the house this space looked like THIS.
Close up of the gorgeous built ins. These were expensive, but worth EVERY penny not only for the design and drama it adds but the functionality too! So much storage!
Wine Jug, Driftwood, Baskets and Frames- Homegoods // Gold Container- Hudson // Vase- West Elm // Bowl- Lawrence McRae // Shagreen Box- West Elm
I found these sconces in Palm Beach and thought they were perfect in this hallway!
Sconces (vintage)- Palm Beach Regency // Wallpaper- Cole & Sons
Through the pocket door is our master bathroom! Again, this space is small, but we designed it to function exactly as we needed- two sinks, two medicine cabinets and a nice big walk in shower. I plan to put some art above the towel bar at some point too :)
Vanity Color- Benjamin Moore Chelsea Gray // Floor Tile- Talya Collection // Hardware- Lewis Dolin // Medicine Cabinets- Restoration Hardware // Sconces- Circa Lighting // Faucets- Kohler // Wall Color- Sherwin Williams Eider White
Countertops- Silestone // Sinks- Toto // Tissue Cover – Jonathan Adler // Zebra Tray- Jonathan Adler
I LOVE my new shower- and I am SO glad I did the Modern French Gold finish from Kohler because it makes me SO happy every day!
Shower Tile- Tiles Plus More // Toilet- Kohler // Showerhead & Trim- Kohler
This was what was there before- Andrew’s office.
Our amazing bedroom! This space has become totally detrimental to our social life because we just want to stay in here ALL. THE. TIME. I was looking everywhere for a wood canopy bed with clean lines and an upholstered, tufted headboard and could not find one that was right. So I worked with the fab Kristin Drohan to design one of my own (which is now part of her collection!) We did a limed oak finish and used a great white faux leather for the headboard! And can we discuss my drapes???? HEAVEN. The print is bold but neutral and I love them SO much- as well as my cordless woven wood shades. My drapery workroom is THE BEST. Also of note, this rug is too small for the room, I need to get a custom sized rug but as you can imagine, the budget got tight at the end. Maybe for Xmas.
Bed- Kristin Drohan Collection // Nightstands – Wisteria // Drapes, Shades & Pillow- Makkas Drapery Workroom // Drape Fabric- Lacefield Designs // Chair- Mitchell Gold // Bedding- Pottery Barn // Pillow Fabric- Peter Dunham // Faux Fur Blanket- Pottery Barn // Wall Urchins- Target // Wall Color- Sherwin Williams Incredible White
The tiny icky room before.
We designed this built in specifically so the pups could look out the window. But I love sitting here, I can lie down and read and it’s so comfy. Under the cushion are little doors we can lift up and store blankets, yoga mats and luggage in! Oliver approves. :)
Roman Shade- Makkas Drapery Workroom // Shade Fabric- Lacefield Designs // Pillows- Pottery Barn & West Elm // Seat Cushion Fabric- Duralee // Sconces- Crate & Barrel // Side Table- DWR // Tray- West Elm // Candle- Jonathan Adler
** Sconces- Crate & Barrel
Baxter also needed to stop by and say hi (and introduce you to his BFF Smelly Squirrel) as well as show off my amazing new upholstered nailhead dresser. While I know TV’s are “bad” in a bedroom, we did install one and I have to say- it’s heaven at the end of a long day to lie here and watch TV.
Dresser- Kathy Kuo Home
I love the mirrored top and store a lot of jewelry on here.
Dresser- Kathy Kuo Home // Ceramic Bird & Cloche- Darby Road Home // Jewelry Boxes- West Elm
My walk in closet is again, on the small side (but feels big to this former city girl!) I worked with the amazing California Closets to use every square inch smartly. It’s incredible to have a closet designed just for me! The piece under the window is a hamper but also serves as a little table too!
Closet- California Closets // Rug- Ramble Market (new antiques goldmine!) // Hamper Pull- Anthropologie
Left is folded clothes and hanging tops and pants.
Roman Shade- Makkas Drapery Workroom // Shade Fabric- Martyn Lawrence Bullard // Art- Amanda Talley
On the right are dresses, bags (clutches you can see, bigger bags are up to right near the ceiling) and shoes. Lots of shoes all on display perfectly (in my old closet they all were in a pile on the floor).
Closet- California Closets
Because I have a pocket door and this space is tiny I had no room for a mirror and was bummed- but CC to the rescue- check out this mirror that slides out!!!! It’s a game changer!
It’s hard to tell but we did the whole closet in this amazing linen texture and the front of the hamper in a high gloss white enamel.
** Tray- Hudson // Art- Amanda Talley // Diffuser- Pottery Barn (smells SO good) // Bowls- Canvas Home
And outside there were BIG changes too- this was our house when we bought it….
Our house as of this morning! :) My Dad does such a wonderful job of making additions look like they blend in with the rest of the house. So many of our neighbors have complimented us on how the new part of the house looks like it’s always been there. And get I get a “hell yeah” regarding my nice wide driveway? Last winter we would end up not able to open our car doors when it snowed the driveway was SO narrow with those embankments on each side!
Of course, I have plans for one more phase of expansion (turning our unheated sunroom into a vaulted ceiling family room) but that will have to wait. :)
A big thank you to all the vendors that worked on this project with me! It came out even better than I imagined!

Wow wow wow!! I wouldn’t want to leave EVER either – I don’t blame you. It is really gorgeous right down to every little detail. The bathroom is amazing and the bed looks super comfy – what a beautiful design you collaborated on for the bed. I also really like your nightstands – will have to check those out. We will be doing an addition at some point and this really gets my wheels turning. enjoy your new space!
Love Love Love It – What a great job – love all your details, particularly the gorgeous door knobs and the shower fixtures. I also love the wallpaper for the hallway and laundry room – that toile is gorgeous in the grey tones and I love the ceiling color in the laundry room. So inspirational – you thought of everything and thanks for being so generous with all your resources. You have the perfect place to nest for the cold NE winter. Enjoy!
Forgot to comment until now. Loooooove it. For me, it’s the details and textures that make it just right.
Hi Erin,
Big time fan! I love that runner and everything you did. Can you tell me what you would query for on that rug web site to achieve a similar look? Persian? Vintage? Traditional? Thank you!!
Everything is nice and simetric – for a couple. No space for that child… :(
Icky room?!?!
Good and precise work, all who were working on this are to be hired.
Hmmm…I’ve got a three year old and from what I can see, there’s nothing about this room that isn’t child friendly (or couldn’t be without some tiny tweaks).

Just wow! Everything is stunning. Your dad’s firm does amazing work–what a great team you guys make!
What a transformation! Very inspired, visionary and thoughtful. My heart literally started racing (in a good way) when I saw the bathroom tile. I also really appreciate the well documented sources for all your design choices which comes as an invaluable reference for an interior designer. Thanks for sharing and congrats on a beautiful renovation. Stunning!
You are just so insanely talented — everything is perfection. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Can you provide any more details about the slide-out mirror? I have *exactly* the same situation — small walk-in closet that’s filled to the brim with shelving/rods (I don’t think it’s CC but it was done by prior owner), and a pocket door. We were just at Home Depot yesterday trying to find a super slim hanging mirror but this is obviously a much better solution. Is it something CC can sell out of the box? Thanks for any details!
The mirror only works with their closet systems! Maybe check somewhere like Container Store in their closet section??

Everything…WOW…but…THAT MASTER BATH!!! AND, those crystal DOOR KNOBS!! Hell YEAH!!! franki
Gorgeous Erin!! Random question – what down comforter do you use? any recommendations on a good one that doesn’t leak feathers?? : )
Thanks!!
YES!!!! LLBean- AMAZING. Best I’ve ever had. Always fluffy, minimal shifting and no feather leakage!
THANK YOU : )
Everything is just perfection! I spent A LOT of time over this posts and just pinned away!
Your home is magnificent, you talent has no bounds and reading you blog at lunch everyday is such a treat!
It is so very beautiful – I love it all and could move right in! Thank you for sharing it with us. You’re so talented!!!
I noticed in your (beautiful!) closet that you appear to have several pairs of Tieks ballet flats. I’m thinking about a pair and would love to know what you think of them, if they’re comfortable, etc.
Thanks!
Beautiful Erin!
Erin!
Thanks for coming into the store last week! I’m sorry I missed you, but Michelle enjoyed meeting you and we hope to see you again. Your addition and remodel looks exquisite.
Cole
It is all absolutely stunning…..from the fabrics to the finishes and all of the furnishings! You are so very talented Erin.
Where did you get those gorgeous Cartier-like mirrors in your master bath? Love them!
Linked in the post!
Where did you get your curtain rod? Thanks..
It is custom.
Gorgeous!! Do you mind my asking where your beautiful white lamps on your nightstands are from? Everything is flawless!
The very first picture.
Everything is linked within the post.
I’m sorry, forgive me but I’ve looked a few times and still don’t see the lamp link. I hope I’m not just that blind! Sorry for the inconvenience!
This renovation is just stunning! Let me forewarn you that keeping colored grout and caulk in your master shower is going to be a royal pain in the rear. We redid our master bath two years ago, and, while I love the look of my platinum colored grout, I miss being able to use bleach when mildew begins to be a problem.
I love it! I’m ordering your book NOW to see the rest! How did you handle the outside chimney? Is it inside a wall? One other very random question; I see you have a several pairs of Tieks. I’m assuming you like them and find that they’re worth the price tag? Tieks are for me what a Vitamix is to you and, BTW, I have a Vitamix and love it.
This addition isn’t in the book, but the txt of the house is! :) as for the Turks, I was gifted mine but I wear them all the time- sturdy, comfy and packable!
Erin! I love every nook of your house!! You must love walking in the door. Which Duralee fabric is on your window seat? What colors are in it? I’d like to add a striped fabric to our square back louis breakfast chairs and this caught my eye. Loved meeting you in Dallas. Looking forward to book 2!:)
What is the kitchen counter material? Thank you !
It’s bianco Macaulay quartzite.
Typo! Bianco macaubas :)
Love it! Especially love the laundry room wallpaper.
Your space would make me happy as well! I LOVE everything about it and it is absolutely stunning!

LOVE!!!
What a beautiful renovation! I absolutely love the colors and hardware that you used in your kitchen and bathroom and am particularly impressed by the way you did your husband’s closet to utilize the space.
Congratulations on a very successful renovation.
We really favor the layout of the plan, your interior selections and color restraint. Very Well Done!
What a beautiful master suite!! This is what dreams are made of! With these Boston temps, I would never leave!!
Question for you — could you do a run down of the rooms in your upstairs with the new addition? If I’m counting correctly from what was shown in the book, you now have 4 bed rooms upstairs (new master suite, old master, guestbook and Andrew’s navy office?).
Congratulations on your beautiful renovation! Love how it all turned out and thanks for sharing your mix of high and low resources. I particularly LOVE the grey paint colors against the brass/gold hardware in both kitchen and master bath. Perfection!!
So gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. I’m having a hard time picturing the exact layout, tho. Does your master, the closet and Andrew’s hallway closet take up most of the upstairs now? Or is most of the master bedroom and bath the added space over the garage? And like others curious about the rug runner – I’d love a post on your experience online shopping for vintage rugs. I’m always hesitant about the colors not really matching and don’t want to fuss with return shipping. Are you able to order one and it works? Or do you order a few and end up returning most ?* I’d feel so much better learning that you return a lot:)
If you click the link in the beginning of the post you can see the floor plan of the project in previous posts. I have had luck with vintage rug shopping online- this runner was on super sale so I wasn’t nervous ($180 believe it or not!)
Actually look at this link for the layouts! https://www.elementsofstyleblog.com/category/my-renovation
Absolutely beautiful renovation! Thanks for sharing.
Wher did you find the hamper?
It’s custom built in by California Closets.
Is that a Walpole fence?
Can I ask for the name of the rug in the hall? I scoured Ecarpet Gallery’s website and couldn’t figure out which one it was. Your home looks AMAZING; love your style!
It’s one of their vintage ones- only one made! sorry!
This is such perfection it literally makes me hurt! Truly stunning. So classy and chic. LOVE IT!!!
The whole thing is a triumph! Congrats on your beautiful home!
Beautifully done…lucky to have your Dad as your general builder/architect! Love the artwork in the laundry room and agree that a laundry room can certainly showcase fun pieces. I recently put a series of 8 photographs of clothes hanging on the line my client had taken from her travels around the world and hung them in the laundry room. Great pop of color and she can revisit her travels everytime she washes her socks! My favorite are those sconces in the window seat..love!
Wowza… love every corner. Beautiful job. One question – what is the name of the runner in your bedroom hallway? I can’t seem to find it on the website. Thanks.
It’s a one of a kind! Sorry! They add new ones all the time.
I was afraid of that! I just love the colors… Thanks for the response!
So beautiful, Erin! Thank you for sharing.
simply beautiful!! Love it all.
Erin, this is so inspirational. My husband and I bought an old house in Avon, CT that had been smoked in for years. A lot of people told us getting rid of the smell would be as simple as priming and painting, but it just isn’t letting up. Because of this and the constant stress that comes with not ever wanting to be at home, I lost my passion for beautiful interiors and dreaming about my own home for a while. We’ve decided to sell in the spring, and we’re now looking at new houses. Your book and every interiors post lately inspires me so much and gives me hope. I really needed to see these beautiful spaces today – that might sound shallow, but the thing that propels me forward is thinking about someday soon when I can start decorating my ‘forever house.’ Thank you thank you! And keep giving us gems from the Gates Estate!
Our house reeked of smoke when we bought it. Once we stripped all the wallpaper, repainted every inch and sanded and re-stained the floors it was all gone. There is hope!!!
It looks so beautiful and amazing! Happiness! Enjoy!
Fantastic job! Your home is gorgeous, thank you for sharing it with us!
I never comment…..but you did a fabulous job and I am SO happy for you, you and your sweet hubby DESERVE it!
Hi Erin – – I love your addition. We recently bought a similar sized and vintage colonial in Wellesley and are dreaming of our (hopefully not too distant) future renovation and addition. (need many of the same updates – kitchen, mudroom, usable garage, etc). I love how your Dad’s firm skillfully made the addition look like it was original to home. Fingers crossed that his firm would consider taking on our project in the future!
Certainly reach out to them when you’re ready!
Everything is just beautiful! I pinned every picture!
This may be a strange question but did your construction crew make your doors or is there somewhere you go for custom millwork?
Absolutely love what you have done. Thanks for sharing all of the links! Gorgeous family home.
Erin- Your house looks SO amazing! I want every bit of it. Inspired to do more work on my house now! Thanks for some amazing lunchtime reading.
I can only imagine how lovely it is to walk into that master bedroom at the end of the day – Oh and waking up in the morning and opening the drapes and blinds!
And that slide out mirror? Genius! How did you store your scarves? I can see you have some but not the how …
There is a great pull out bar to hang scarves, I also ahve a bin of them in the downstairs coat closet!
Worth. The. Wait. Can’t see why you’d ever want to get out of bed again? Excellent work combining beauty and function seamlessly. Now that I’ve seen it I don’t even mind the hobbit bedroom going away (okay, my inner child is protesting a little).
The perfect early Chistmas present. Thank you!
Amazing, of course! You work so hard and deserve such a fantastic space!
Wow! So beautiful!! Enjoy!
It is so gorgeous!! Thank you so much for sharing all the details.
Thank you for all the source sharing! I think I pinned it all. :)
Fantastic master design! It is so great to be able to sit in bed and look outside through large windows!
Can’t give your home enough praise, inside & out, just W o W! I hope you and Andrew have a Merry Christmas. Be sure to come out of that gorgeous bedroom. :)
Beautiful and serene. The outside transformation is amazing.
Oh my goodness, Erin! It is absolutely spectacular! I loved what you said about the bathroom – that it’s just what you need. Often I see huge bathrooms but I think they’re ridiculous! I would be so happy with the stunner that you have – just enough without being cavernous and cold. (I guess it’s the former city girl in me too!)
Your choices are amazing! It’s all so gorgeous!
[…] Tastemakers, What's New December 16, 2014 0 Erin Gates This post was originally published here. […]
Looks unbelievable! I’d never want to leave!!
AMAZING!! Can I move in? I’ll sleep in the laundry room.
Random question but are you able to fit all your clothes and shoes into your new closet or do you keep some separate for seasons? We’re re-doing our master closet and I don’t know if I have enough space for all my shoes…
I keep my off season clothes and shoes in my old master closet (the one shown in the book). It takes up half that closet and leaves the other half for guests. It’s so much better because now I just see what I can wear, not every single thing I own!
Everything looks incredible! I could gush on and on about the spot-on paint colors, beautiful finishes, and functional design. But first, I want to ask about the cordless woven wood shades. How do they work? I think I need some!
There is a ring at the bottom of each (behind the shade) and you pull down and up and it locks where you want it to stay. They are AMAZING.
Yay!! Just fantastic!! Love me a great before and after:)
Favorite things: your fabrics choices, and the use of objects to hold your jewelry – I do the same thing! I even started buying jewelry just to display ;)
Thanks for sharing the process!
Absolutely wonderful! As for TVs, I’m so happy to see a home that reflects reality.
Is it possible to get a floor plan with room dimensions from you even if you just email it to me personally? – I have a similar colonial house not far from Newton and we are doing a similar reno to our kitchen dining (very similar size/style)
Thanks!
Your home is beautiful! Best of all, the heart and soul of it is so apparent, even in pictures. Thanks so much for sharing the process and end result!
Love, love, LOVE it!! Oh my goodness, so many beautiful elements, I have a hard time choosing a favorite. So, let’s see – hidden mirror in the closet – so smart, gorgeous drapes and window seat, and your master bath is glorious. I just recently helped my parents with a master bathroom remodel, and their double sink space is very similar to yours – you can definitely cram some high style into a small area! Thanks for sharing – I don’t blame you for becoming a social recluse – I would too!
Two words: Dream House.
Erin, your addition is absolute perfection. Congratulations on creating a space that reflects your style and works for your lifestyle!
So in awe of your mad skills. Love how the wallpaper in the entry to the bedroom mimics the detail on the closet doors. I swoon over every detail of that bathroom, the floors are insanely beautiful. The bedroom is elegant and serene. Love, love, love your home.
Erin, all of your decisions are spot on for the new additions. The Master is glorious, the laundry room a dream and your closet, well they really worked magic! You must be so thrilled! Bravo!

You’re making me feel much better about the number of shoes I own. “See? Erin has more than 20 pairs – it’s totally normal!”
Erin, this place is HEAVEN!! congrats and thanks for sharing the gorgeous photos with us!

Gorgeous!
And a great use of space. I had no idea that was a hamper in your closet. What a fantastic idea.
Hi Erin. I am blown away by the room. you have exquisite taste. I am jealous!!!! :)
I have a question about the rug: when you said it’s too small, how big would you make it? maybe 1 foot wider on each side? I am struggling with finding the right rug for my bedroom too.
Yes, roughly 1 to 2 feet on each side!
Thank you!
Wow! I’m speechless!!! Congrats; it is truly “spectaculaire”!
I also went for Balboa Mist in my new house; it’s such a great greige and a perfect neutral.
Erin, every detail is absolutely stunning! Congrats on a beautiful home!
Erin, everything looks AMAZING. We started a similar sized renovation right after you did and, while construction is finally over, we’re still working on the finishing touches. Seeing your finished product gives me inspiration that my windows will eventually be dressed and that my walls will not be naked forever!
Looks so wonderful! How are your woven wood shades cordless?
I would love to be able to do that?
I am normally an EoS lurker, but had to post that this is fabulous! Fresh and inviting, whilst modern and comfortable. I could move straight in here. Congrats!
simply beautiful!!
Holy crap, Erin! It’s STUNNING. Like, fully speechless over here.
Congratulations!!!! Loved following the progress of this addition, and everything looks absolutely perfect, beautiful, amazing…. the list of adjectives could go on!
So great to finally see it all!! I swooned over the pantry door knobs. Gorgeous. Don’t forget to update us on that lost window in your dining room!
I shall!!!
Gorgeous!! Love the clean designs!
Beautiful! I love every space!!!
Simply perfection, congratulations!
LOVE it all! Just amazing. You did a wonderful job, and enjoy every second!
Question – who made the drapes? And do you have a source for the tile in your mudroom?
THANKS!
All that info is linked under each photo.
thanks! I see it now! Appreciate it!
Looks gorgeous – well done!!
It’s amazing! You, your Dad, and all of your vendors did an absolutely perfect job. I love all of the new architectural additions and the details and design that you added. It’s neutral but not boring…perfect mix of patterns and textures. Soothing, comfortable, elegant…I love it!
Brava!!! Slow hand clap…progresses into a faster hand clap. I love your home!!!!
Absolutely stunning! I don’t know which room is my favorite, they are all gorgeous. Beautiful job, Erin!
LOVE. What a fabulous retreat for you, Andrew and the pups!
Looks amazing Erin!!! Way to go!! Loved seeing all of the pictures!! xo- Shannon
It’s absolutely gorgeous! I’m on the hunt for a house we can renovate and make our forever house, and this is great inspiration! My favorite is the big window with the window seat :)

OMG. Every. single. detail is fabulous. Love it all! Great inspiration.
Stunning, just stunning! Looking forward to seeing more photos of your kitchen, if you are game. Apologies for being greedy. :)

I LOVE everything, from the smallest details inside to the whole house outside! You did a superb job! But let me tell you I’m about to die over the bathroom vanity and all the details. You are an AMAZING Designer, really… and I know how deep inside you must think that ‘oh yeahhh I’m just doing what I know by instinct…’ Well you are dammm good at it!!
It’s a good thing I’m typing this because my jaw is still on the floor from the amazing beauty I just saw. Down to the last detail, I love it! Makes me want to move out of my house and build again. LOL! Enjoy your new additions, and thanks for sharing!
Congrats Erin and Andrew(and your pups too!) The space is divine and it’s obvious that it works beautifully for your family. The french gold in the bathroom is exactly what I have been longing for our master bath remodel. As always, thanks for your amazing inspiration!
What a transformation! So beautiful :) Definitely worth the wait.
Everything, EVERYTHING (the details, good Lord!) is beautiful – just perfect, really. You’re a doll for all the source sharing, too. A Christmas gift to us, as it were. I have to say, one of the things that grabbed me in your book was the impeccable curtains, romans, etc – your workroom really IS the best. Wish I lived closer, and could use them!
Merry Merries to you and yours, and congratulations on a beautiful home!

Oh my goodness, these spaces are wonderful! I especially love all the lighting, your huband’s closet, your closet (especially the buddha covered in baubles!), your bedroom drapes, your laundry room wallpaper! I have to study it all again and I know I will find many more things to love. Oh – I love the exterior of the home – very elegant, but homey. This is a masterpiece – thank you for letting us see it!
Looks amazing!!! Is the house north facing our south facing? Just wondering because the paint colors can change in the light- and I love the warm whites you used! Its funny how when you transform a space, we pass on going out! As always, inspiring ideas every day!! My husband’s wallet isn’t going to like me again! LOL! #californiaclosets
The front of the house faces north
Beyond FAB!!!!
