As the holiday season approaches for many of us, I thought it would be apt to round up some of my all time favorite dinnerware and formal china. From everyday affordable classics to proper formal place settings, these are some of my all time faves. I personally own the blue version of the Juliska Country Estate, the Carolyn Roheme Lily of the Valley, some accent pieces in the cabbage (but have been coveting the Bernadaud Constance for some time now). I need new everyday dinnerware so I’ve been looking around for sets that are classic and simple and have decently sized cereal bowls and mugs. Let me know if you have a personal favorite! All images are linked except the purple set, which can be found on Mrs. Alice (an amazing site for all things tabletop).
Hands down the Ginori 1735 for me
What a beautiful selection! If you find verification of products without lead, I would be greatly interested! It’s very difficult to ensure lead-free tableware.
My everyday china is Wedgewood Nantucket Basket. It’s a white basket weave that some use as their fine china. I mix it with cabbage ware and Spode Blue Italian. I went safe with my good China and have Waterford Kilbarry platinum. I really wanted Mottahedeh Blue Canton or Tobacco Leaf but played it safe. I love the Constance. It was Blair Waldorf and Charlotte York’s China! I also have holiday China. I have Spode Christmas tree that I use for my everyday China from the day after Thanksgiving unto the Epiphany.
I have the Wedgwood Renaissance in Blue and LOVE IT! So fun for all sorts of holidays to mix and match with different linens.
Wesgewood Nantucket Basket. Takes hard everyday use and has many bowl sizes. It goes well with many different salad plates.
