Our Heading Home to Dinner Table Design

We are so excited to be participating in the Heading Home to Dinner event this year at the Boston Design Center!  Last year was the first time local designers put on this event and it was a huge success, raising lots of money for a great cause and having a fabulous time while doing it!  The event is comprised of Boston area designers creating unique table scapes and bar carts.  You can come see them all Thursday from 11-3pm!  There is a great dinner event tomorrow night, but it has sold out already!

Here’s our table!  We are so grateful to partners Duralee/ Robert Allen Group, Makkas Drapery Workroom and Juliska for their generosity in helping us create this gorgeous table.  I wanted it to be a mix of traditional and modern, relaxed and formal and I think we really achieved that! I was inspired by the interiors and gardens of various notable style mavens like Bunny Mellon, Aerin Lauder and Tory Burch.

The tablecloth is made from one of the new Tilton Fenwick patterns for Duralee and was the jumping off point for this table. The gorgeous blue tones are echoed in the Juliska Country Estate china and Villeroy & Boch glasses as well as the striped Schumacher fabric we used for the chair cushions (which I’m sort of dying over).  The gold flatware is a vintage find from Etsy (score!)

The chair tassels are from Robert Allen.  The wine glasses are Juliska, and a personal favorite. The placemats we found on One Kings Lane (no longer avail) and the napkins are from Gracious Home (and are wine stain resistant!!!) while the napkin rings are One Kings Lane. The candlesticks are from Terrain and the candles we picked up at local shop Pinestraw.  I used this Williams Sonoma Home ginger jar as a vase and just filled it with tall branches snipped from trees, which is a great long-lasting centerpiece.  We surrounded the vase with small myrtle topiaries in pots, which can act as lovely take home gifts from a dinner party!

And because this is for an amazing cause, we are going to be selling all the items on the table and donating the proceeds to Heading Home.  Anything fragile cannot be shipped and must be purchased for pick-up locally from our office. Soft goods can be shipped though!  E-mail Molly at [email protected] to buy!  Items will be sold at the event too so if you really want something buy NOW!

Tune in tomorrow for another blog tag sale too!
