Sconces are a fabulous way to add illumination and personality to walls – and not every option needs to come from a trade-only designer source. In fact, I’ve found some truly amazing options on retail sites recently and wanted to round up options – some as low as $70! I love that even retail outlets are personalizing sconces with patterned shades straight out of the box! Of course you can also order custom shades on sites like Etsy (shop 1, shop 2), and sources like Pooky (which also sells amazing rechargeable sconces you don’t have to hardwire) have a ton of options to choose from to pair with their sconces.

Same problem with Wayfair links!
I agree with LED bulbs – you have to have a PhD to find what you want.
I also agree with reasonably priced bed frames – we have a second home that can’t take anything too precious!
But all your roundups are great.
Lightbulbs! LEDs are awful. What do we put in our 6” can lights that dim properly and have the incandescent glow?
I’d love reasonably priced retail bed frames – all sizes! Thank you.
The links for Wayfair take us to ALL of Wayfairs products. Even when I type in the specific name it goes to pages and pages and not the piece I’m looking for. Can you provide links to the exact sconce rather than to ALL of Wayfair? I finally gave up trying to find the lamp.
May be an issue with your browser as the Wayfair links work for us…
Lightbulbs! Are there brands that come close to incandescent or halogen? I am not sold on LEDs but I know that’s the only choice now. 2700 kelvin is sickly but 3000 kelvin is harsh. Hoping somebody else out there has cracked the code to replicate lightbulbs of bygone days. Thanks.
Love this. My next project is trying to minimize really ugly granite that I don’t want to replace. Cost is an issue, since I’m in a senior residence. Others have successfully painted cabinets and walls to help the granite blend into the background. I’m going with that approach.
I would love guidance from Erin or others on lightbulbs. I have not found LEDs to be good replacements for halogen or incandescent. Does anyone have a brand that comes close? 2700 kelvin still looks a bit sickly to me and 3000 is a bit harsh. SOS! And thanks.
