I’ve noticed a lot of goods coming out of retailers these days that use botanical sketches in cool ways- from bedding to rugs to personal accessories. I have always loved using botanical prints in my work, such as in my guest room below, but haven’t used them in any other application other than wall art.

I came across this adorable bedding from IKEA in the new O Magazine and think it is perfectly darling for a little girls room (I’d pair the set with bordered sheets in green or pink and a solid blanket, to keep it from getting overwhelming!)
Pottery Barn has a black and white version if that’s more your speed!
Madeline Weinrib just released a new collection of rugs using botanical influence.
Etsy is CHOCK FULL of prints should you want to go the more “classic” route- but I love these sepia and black and white versions for a slightly more modern look.
Steven Gambrel famously wallpapered an old powder room of his in the Hamptons with actual pages from a book of botanical illustrations.
You can get a similar look with this paper! Great for tiny spaces like closets or powder rooms.
I spotted these ceramics on Etsy that I think are so cool- modern meets rustic.
Fern illustrations have always been popular- love the idea of using pillows like these in a sunroom (room design by Markham Roberts)
Little accents like phone cases (left/ right) in these prints are cheery…
And this book look gorgeous on a coffee table (I have it!) and these wellies are to die for.
What do you think of this little spring trend? I know its very “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking” but as I like to say, there’s nothing wrong with a little pretty!
Wow.
Just loved this post about Ikea. Inspired by your post. I’ve written an awesome blog post on “A New Kitchen Story”. It would be great if you share it on your blog. Thanks

So many amazing ways to incorporate botanical into your home decor. I always put up prints in the fall I feel as though it brings a nice, crisp flair to my home decor.
Love botanicals! I think they bring some nice life to a room. My mom also uses old books to frame botanical prints out of – they always look awesome! I did it too from a 1950’s book on flower arranging that I found at Goodwill :)
I recently purchased Botanicum from our school book sale to share with my daughters, who are 4 and 6. It’s a great introduction for children!
Omg! i am just love with all of this single painting and the phone cover is so beautiful. This books too look familiar. x

If you like botanical prints, an absolutely stunning book is Plants (published by Phaidon). It is gorgeous inside and out!
You’ve probably seen it , but Farmstead Table has a gorgeous, large-scale botanical drawing up front.
Speaking of flowers, I want to highly recommend a book I just picked up called The Flower Workshop by Ariella Chezar – the writing, photos, floral arrangements and the quality of the book itself are beautiful. I think you would enjoy it if you haven’t stumbled across it yet…
These are wonderful. I appreciate things that are timeless and not likely to go out of style and be embarrassing before they wear out.
Of course botanical prints are classic.
Ground breaking … no, but inspiring, yes!
I pinned the Ikea set and may use them to make pillow covers for my own take on botanical pillows. Loved the Pottery Barn set; they look very “toile” to me.
I have a book of botanical mushroom drawings; an old book surplussed by the library (snatched it up at their sale for $2). I know I want to do something fabulous with it … don’t worry people, it was rebound in an ugly but sturdy binding many decades ago, I’m not destroying something pristine. It’s nearly all in beigey-mushroom tones. No surprise there. Holding onto it while I find just the right way to make it wonderful…
Devil Wears Prada- my fave movie :) I knew you could be my soul sister !
just came across these very similar but way cheaper target botanical rain boots! https://www.target.com/p/women-s-kalista-tall-rain-boots-merona-153/-/A-50847368 might have to get as an early Mother’s Day gift to myself! :)
just bought these for my MIL for Mother’s Day – thanks for the tip!
yay! such a sweet gift!
As a Landscape Designer to me botanical anything is timeless!! Love these new items on the market! Thanks for always keeping us inspired! *Amy
I am in love with Botanicals!!
I love the IKEA sheets and the sepia prints!!
If you like botanicals, you have to check out Laura Zindel’s pottery! She’s based in southern vermont and does beautiful work that is available in stores around the country or on her website: http://www.laurazindel.com
just ordered the ikea bedding for my twin girls. We painted twin wood poster beds green for their new big girl beds. I’ll keep this new comforter at the end of the bed over a white coverlet. Thank you so much for this suggestion!
OMG, that will be SO darling!
I LOVE THIS! that IKEA bedding is amazing, and I’m about to order that phone case- what can I say, I’m a sucker for florals this spring!
